A sense of unsurpassed elegance is felt as you approach this colonial period mansion following a short drive down a winding private road bordered by an orchard of olive trees and a small vineyard. Passing a lake and sporting ovals you half expect to see at the next turn carriages and the aristocracy or gentry of yesteryear.
As you enter Rupertswood mansion you can actually feel you are part of the past - a must
    see attraction for all Victorians

What an amazing place to see and stay. When I walked in to Rupertswood, I was so overwhelmed by the history and beauty. My husband & I haved stayed at Rupertswood for the last 2 years and are now excited to celebrate our 20th Wedding Anniversary there in August.. It’s a wonderful atmosphere, intrigged by such a wonderful and romantic house. What can I say about the staff they are tremmenous, fabulous so friendly and, courteous and polite. Margaret who is the Manager is so welcoming, the best host who greets her guests with open arms, she is so brilliant and talented and hospitable, she makes your stay so enjoyable and relaxed. The food is marvellous and presentation is incredible. The accommodation is so pretty and it makes you feel that you are actually in the 1800’s This place is such an experience not to be missed, I would highly recommend Rupertswood Mansion for anyone. Well done to everyone who works at Rupertswood, keep up the good work, because it always a pleasure to come back just to be treated special by you guys. This place is defiantly rated number one in our eyes.

    Hi there,
Rupertswood made me feel like Scarlet Ohara from “Gone with the Wind”. The period furnishings were something I just adored. I have stayed in a few lovely places in Australia but none compare to Rupertswoods with its period furnishings, grandeur and peacefulness. It was a grand place fititng those seeking a truely exceptional period experience. The food was also yummy. I have asked my huband to take me back again and again but with the lace dresses next time so I can pretend some more that I’m back in the time when Scarlet O’Hara was alive and men and women dressed with elegance. He promised he would so I am keeping him to that.

stumbled on this place on our way to Daylesford, was most impressed the lovely lady that showed us around was extremely proud of the place and so she should .I have been the CEO of a large multi national corporaion for many years (now retired ) If this place was in Melbourne CBD it would certainly be the gentlemans club of Australia.
Suitably impressed I hope you keep the fire in ypur belly young lady you will go far!

Visited Ruoertswood Mansion whilst on holiday from the Uk a couple of years ago went back again this week the place is looking even better than I remembered.
We told so many back in the Uk especially the Cricket lovers.
Who did win the Ashes back? Nothing like the poms and aussies fighting for the famous Ashes Trophy
Had a tour by the tour operators couldn’t believe how informative really enjoyed our day.

Where else in Australia can you go and visit the birthplace of the ashes I am a huge cricket fan this place deserves to do well in this poll. I was truly surprised by the beautiful home just brilliantly restored back to the 1800s amazing how the Clarke family lived wish I had a butler and lots of servants. We had a delicious lunch and the staff were friendly, attentive and very passionate about the place.
I wish you well Rupertswood you deserve to be recognised and to let others enjoy what we did on our visit I will be spreading the word and I will be back.

Having attended many functions at Rupertswood Mansion, I can honestly say that you would be hard pressed to find something as beautiful and as regal as this venue. A stay at Rupertswood is a special experience and one that takes you back to the late 1800’s.

From the great staff to the superb food, the experience is a memorable one.

How proud I am that I live near this wonderful icon of history. The splendour awaits you as you walk up the stairs and just goes on from there. I love Rupertswood Mansion and have been there many times - my most recent visit was to t be wined & dined and entertained by Lisa Edwards. What a fantastic evening. Everything about the night was wonderful especially sitting in the incredible dining room and soaking in the history. I felt like royalty.

Travelled down from lovely, warm Queensland last week-end. Missed the wedding but thoroughly enjoyed the 60th birthday party, the overnight stay and beautiful breakfast. Even through a fire emergency the staff were impeccable and made us feel so welcome. The mansion is absolutely fabulous and superbly managed. Just a shame about the weather outside!

We had a wonderful Christmas in July the day after an emegency situation had kept the staff up all night. They were completely unflappable. The food was magnificent and the building is stunning. What is most memorable is how friendly and accessable this place is to the general public. Just read the other comments. After our experience I am sure that they are 100% true.
Keep up the good work and we will be back for more.

Love it, love it l,ove it!
Just love old buildings this one is the best. We are so fortunate to have such a grand manor here in Victoria, they let us share the beauty of it not like most mansions very welcoming and informate of the history and restoration. We don’t have too many old places here in Australia never mind Victoria. Make sure you visit you wont be dissapointed
