Best way to see our nocturnal wildlife - on a magical guided evening walk. Get close to unique and endangered animals such as fluffy gliders, quolls, bettongs and others. An unbelievable experience with animals interacting in a way they never do during the day.

I was in Melbourne for four months on a study abroad exchange and going to the Moonlit Sanctuary was by far the best place I visited! The staff was friendly, the atmosphere was relaxing and I was able to hang out with Australian’s icons for a mere $10

Amazing! This was my favorite thing I did in Australia….fulfilling a lifetime dream of seeing a koala up close and feeding kangaroos. Definitely a must-do in my book.

Not to be missed! Get up close, learn about & feed some of Oz’s most endangered & rare animals. The
crucial work undertaken by the enthusiastic & dedicated team at the Sanctuary will leave you with a sense of hope as well as a desperate need to be more conscientious and protective over our most precious resource, our eco system. Keep up the wonderful work Michael & co !

I can’t speak highly enough of the excellent experiences we have enjoyed at Moonlit Sanctuary both at the evening tours and holiday programs.
My chidren first visited 5 years ago and on a recent visit suprisingly recalled so many facts and figures that I didn’t expect them to remember.

Wonderfully educational and great fun too.

Fantastic family experience, interacting with the animals, great conservation message and very informative. We’ve taken the kids twice now and they’ve had different experiences each time, they really enjoy getting up close with the animals at night whilst they are active. They’ve also done the kids holiday program and loved it. Highly recommend Moonlit Sanctuary as a fabulous family experience and well worth it.

It was just a wonderful night out. I saw Australian animals I had never seen before and hadn’t a clue existed in our area. They weren’t asleep like they are at other zoos during the day and they come up and literally eat out of your hands. I thought it was amazing, I would highly recommend it as one of the best experiences Melbourne has to offer.
