A beautiful spot away from the hustle and bustle of busy Melbourne. A place not far into the wilds and yet near enough to Melbourne. The fresh clean mountain air is invigorating my senses and lifts me up to face the next day. This place is particularly beautiful in the autumn when nature dons its earthy colours. It looks spectacular indeed.

my wife and I enjoyed or stay at Marylands country house, it had just the right touch of old world charm. Though the weather was shocking, we were not in the least put off, as the facilities at Marylands still provided enough alternatives to fill in the day.

Marysville has beautiful mountain tracks to walk along and still see wildlife and birdlife. The mountain streams are still pristine; the air is crisp and clean. The B&B’s we have stayed in have all been fabulous. We have stayed at Marysville three times in the past and it never ceases to make us happy we have chosen to visit there.

Marysville is so pretty any time. Today there is a little mist over the surrounding ranges, a chill in the air, sitting in front of a lovely fire, and a drop of fine local red. A great way to spend the day.
Cant wait for the winter snow to cover the mountain, all this 90 mins from Melbourne, no flights or expensive petrol costs. Well worth the visit.

Bruno’s Art and Sculpture Garden
A magical experience set in beautiful rain forest in Marysville. Fantastically imaginative creations, many of them sculpted from materials found in the forest. I rate this a world-class attraction which deserves to be much better known.

A picturesque little village, close proximity to Melbourne, but far enough away mot to be to crowded. Many fine places to stay, rating from gold class to good accommodation at respectable rates. Beautiful natural areas to go and see, including Steavenson Falls, good walking tracks and close to Cathedral Range. Many great picnic spots with running water and a fine place to enjoy nature’s finest surroundings.
