Wilsons Prom is heaven on a stick. It makes your heart sing and your soul fly. Whenever I need comfort I close my eyes and transport myself to Norman Bay - I am home and at peace.

This amazing place is one that I love to share with friends and visitors to Melbourne or Australia. The bush walks, the beach and the tranquility of the Prom make it truly a little piece of heaven here on earth.

‘The Prom’ is a truly magical place. The mystery dates back for as long as Indigenous people walked along its beautiful beaches, over mountains diverse with vegetation and through misty gullies full of tree ferns and pristine streams. All these experiences are in the wilderness but only 2 hours from Melbourne and so totally accessible to anyone who can walk. This is a truly fantastic destination for all seasons.

A truly amazing place where you can enjoy the beach, the scenery, the walks, the peace. The kids will love it and where else can you get visited by wombats, koalas, possums and all types of wildlife while you relax by your van at night.

Fantastic memories date back to a school camp there over 37 years ago.. revisited many years later and the beaches are still beautiful, scenery magnificent, walks are invigorating, beautiful accomodation choices, better than the bunkhouse of all those years ago. It has now become a favourite place for my children - 29,27,16,14 who all enjoy swimming, fishing and walking. We love it and plan to return as soon as we can.

The Prom is probably Victoria’s most spectacular and pristine outdoor area. Whether you are into walking, scenery, beaches, wildlife, flora or just relaxing with friends the Prom has it all. We love the walks from the car park at Telegraph Saddle to Waterloo Bay or Sealer’s Cove. Both are easily managed in one day but also make terrific overnight expeditions. The beaches on the eastern side of the Prom are simply stunning. For those who enjoy walking but are not up to the longer distances there is an abundance of wonderful short walks beginning at Tidal River. With all of this within a two and a half hour drive of Melbourne what more could you ask for.

Shortly after migrating to Australia from France we visited Wilson’s Promontory 35 years ago and loved the natural and wild beauty of the aera so much that we return there at every opportunity and decide to seachange-retire in Foster near Wilson’s promontory in 1999 a very good move indeed.

Being a National Park It is still just as beautiful and peaceful as it was when i first went there

Wilsons Prom is a wondrous, magical place! I went there as a kid every Easter for about ten years and the memories are some of the best of my life.
Living in NSW now, we don’t get down to the Prom as often as we’d like, unfortunately! It is the best place in the world in my opinion….

We’ve visited the Prom many times in the past and always had an amazing time. The Prom is full of wildlife, beautiful beaches, spectacular views - a magical place for all ages. We are yet to take our young children there, but hope to make an adventure of it this year when we take them camping. So natural, hardly touched and a place for making memories.

The Prom. Beauty. Variety. Like going home. So many memories. A place to be yourself. A place to find yourself.

When I meet someone who doesn’t know what I mean when I say I live near ‘The Prom’ or has not heard of Wilsons Prom, I am amazed, because it seems that I can meet people from all over Australia and most people do not only know of it but also have great memories of their visit/s. I have a shop in Foster and I am intrigued by the international visitors who know so much more about this special place than some locals!

If you haven’t been, come and do plan to do more than amble around Tidal River!

My husband and I took our 6 year old son to Wilson Promontory for the first time late last year. It was a wonderful experience for all of us. We took an hour walk along a bush track and encountered two wallabies walking the track behind us. It was a highlight of our trip. The beaches are also beautiful - took many great photos. We would recommend Wilsons Promontory to anyone.
