Wilsons Prom is heaven on a stick. It makes your heart sing and your soul fly. Whenever I need comfort I close my eyes and transport myself to Norman Bay - I am home and at peace.
Wilsons Prom is truly an amazing place to visit and stay. It’s pristine beaches and squeaky clean sand offer the perfect place for people to explore with their friends and families. There are lots of fantastic things to do at Wilson’s Prom. Whatever you like from bird watching, nature walks and hikes, swimming, relaxing and making new friends. For fishing enthusiasts, the Prom is the place to be to land your best catch! Book in early if you wish to staff because lots of people have discovered the natural beauty of the Prom and it is very popular. For a place to get away, the Prom is number 1.
This amazing place is one that I love to share with friends and visitors to Melbourne or Australia. The bush walks, the beach and the tranquility of the Prom make it truly a little piece of heaven here on earth.
‘The Prom’ is a truly magical place. The mystery dates back for as long as Indigenous people walked along its beautiful beaches, over mountains diverse with vegetation and through misty gullies full of tree ferns and pristine streams. All these experiences are in the wilderness but only 2 hours from Melbourne and so totally accessible to anyone who can walk. This is a truly fantastic destination for all seasons.
Breathtaking scenery, pristine beaches and amazing wildlife, and all so close to Melbourne. What more could you ask for?
A truly amazing place where you can enjoy the beach, the scenery, the walks, the peace. The kids will love it and where else can you get visited by wombats, koalas, possums and all types of wildlife while you relax by your van at night.
Truly spectacular. Has it all peace, scenery, sea and wildlife!
The Prom has being special to me for the about last 50 years
The most spectacular place on earth - everyone should take the time to visit the most tranquil place in Australia
I hiked there as a yougin with my family, as a Venturer on the way to attaining my Queens Scout and on numerous occasions with friends over the years. As a teacher i have also taken many groups of students to experience this amazing wonder of our Victorian world.
Best place in Australia if not the world
Back to nature, peaceful and great to campin
The Prom is the perfect camping spot. Walking, communing with nature and wildlife, sightseeing, relaxing, stressfree family fun place where memories are made
Wilsons Prom is just gorgeous. Still relatively untouched, rugged wilderness. Gorgeous coastline, fantastic walks and some wildlife for good measure.
The picturesque views are outstanding!!!!
My favourite place on earth!
Simply a beautiful, family oriented adventure.
The complete Australian National park
Wildlife, Beaches, Flora, walking hiking and diving.
Every year since I was born we have travelled to Wilsons Prom where the outdoors come to life and now I take my kids there.
my childhood began at wilsons prom and will be with me always now
Magnificent countryside!
Stunning unspoiled natural beauty, secluded beaches and lots of wildlife. Does it get any better than this?
Wilsons Prom is the most beautiful place in the world. It’s like walking into a wondrous world where life’s worries just fall away
My favourite place in the world. Wildlife, camping, walking, surfing, swimming. Awsome.
I do not think you could find a more beautiful place to go to experience the beauty and wonders of nature ,to relax and escape the hassles of daily life.
Fantastic memories date back to a school camp there over 37 years ago.. revisited many years later and the beaches are still beautiful, scenery magnificent, walks are invigorating, beautiful accomodation choices, better than the bunkhouse of all those years ago. It has now become a favourite place for my children - 29,27,16,14 who all enjoy swimming, fishing and walking. We love it and plan to return as soon as we can.
To enjoy the simple things in life - walking, camping, swimming in what is truly just a beautiful part of the world.
We love going to the prom………….the flora and fauna…the veiws are magnificent…..camping is excellent…we love it
Beautiful surroundings as nature intended,
Superbly maintained and visually splendid.
After traveling the world for 3 years i still think Willsons Prom is my fav place on earth, walking , fishing meeting people from all over the globe and relaxing on the unspoilt beaches……heaven!
The family and I just keep going back!
Unspoilt. Spectacular views. Mt. Oberon climb is a must! Beaches so clean, wildlife plentiful and wildflowers in spring amazing. A wonderful place to really relax.
been there and it was a great scenic drive, great environment and it has the best beach I’ve ever visit so far: )
You haven’t lived until you have experienced ‘The Prom’ . Do make a special trip to visit ’squeaky beach’ as both kids and the young at heart will love it.
love the serenity & beauty of the place the sound of the birds & to feel the wind in your hair & smell the sea breaze
My children are tasked with climbing Mt. Oberon and casting my ashes to the winds. I am certainly not hurrying to leave just yet and intend many more climbs over the next 30 or so years to marvel at that specatacular view.
The Prom is full of memories for me of great walks, scenery, fishing, beaches, friends and rates highly for me as an escape place. We can relax there knowing civilization is awaiting us still back in Melbourne
To catch glimpses of the sea as you round the bends and witness the the change in the Twelve Apostles is to wonder at the beauty and magnificence of the power of nature.
My kids say “awesome” when they’re allowed a late night, a lolly or I fill in a form for them - I tried to explain the true meaning of the word and found my definition here at Wilson’s Prom
The Prom is probably Victoria’s most spectacular and pristine outdoor area. Whether you are into walking, scenery, beaches, wildlife, flora or just relaxing with friends the Prom has it all. We love the walks from the car park at Telegraph Saddle to Waterloo Bay or Sealer’s Cove. Both are easily managed in one day but also make terrific overnight expeditions. The beaches on the eastern side of the Prom are simply stunning. For those who enjoy walking but are not up to the longer distances there is an abundance of wonderful short walks beginning at Tidal River. With all of this within a two and a half hour drive of Melbourne what more could you ask for.
Great place, for a family outing be it one day or one week, the untouched beauty is some of the best in the state.
Shortly after migrating to Australia from France we visited Wilson’s Promontory 35 years ago and loved the natural and wild beauty of the aera so much that we return there at every opportunity and decide to seachange-retire in Foster near Wilson’s promontory in 1999 a very good move indeed.
I first went to Wilsons Prom as a seven year old girl and returned there for may years with my family- every year we would get to finish up school early for our trip! I still love to go back there now.
Being a National Park It is still just as beautiful and peaceful as it was when i first went there
forty years ago.! It is a very special place for me and climbing of Mt. Oberon makes me feel on top of the world!
Wilsons Prom is a wondrous, magical place! I went there as a kid every Easter for about ten years and the memories are some of the best of my life.
Living in NSW now, we don’t get down to the Prom as often as we’d like, unfortunately! It is the best place in the world in my opinion….
nah not a fan
I went with a group of freinds many years ago, (21!!!), and just adored the natural environment, clean air and rugged beauty of the place! Haven’t been back since then, but would love to take my 10yr old boy now - I’m sure he’d love it, too!
As my (then) 3 year old granddaughter said when she saw The Prom looking across Corner Inlet from Hoddle “look Nanna , there’s those hills that make you feel happy !!”
We’ve visited the Prom many times in the past and always had an amazing time. The Prom is full of wildlife, beautiful beaches, spectacular views - a magical place for all ages. We are yet to take our young children there, but hope to make an adventure of it this year when we take them camping. So natural, hardly touched and a place for making memories.
just love the beach and tidal river. the beatiful walks, scenery fantastic. you can simply relax and do nothing , or go walking -swimming fishing .we love this place
The Prom. Beauty. Variety. Like going home. So many memories. A place to be yourself. A place to find yourself.
When I meet someone who doesn’t know what I mean when I say I live near ‘The Prom’ or has not heard of Wilsons Prom, I am amazed, because it seems that I can meet people from all over Australia and most people do not only know of it but also have great memories of their visit/s. I have a shop in Foster and I am intrigued by the international visitors who know so much more about this special place than some locals!
If you haven’t been, come and do plan to do more than amble around Tidal River!
Wilson’s Promo is the most beautiful place in Victoria. I have been there four times during my 6 years living in Australia and always as the first time its beauty surprises me.
My mother come to visit me last summer after won a battle against cancer. We went to Wilson’s Prom and she was so amaze with the magnificence of the place, when we were there she did not stop thanking God to be healed and have the opportunity to see this magical place.
Just plain beautiful.
One stop holiday experience all year round for all our family. Beach, bush, activity or relaxation. We had our honeymoon here more than 20 years ago, and we try to have at least one visit every year with our children. It’s magic!
My husband and I took our 6 year old son to Wilson Promontory for the first time late last year. It was a wonderful experience for all of us. We took an hour walk along a bush track and encountered two wallabies walking the track behind us. It was a highlight of our trip. The beaches are also beautiful - took many great photos. We would recommend Wilsons Promontory to anyone.
We walked out to the lighthouse and stayed 2 wonderful nights in accommodation at the lighthouse. It was peaceful and charming. Well worth the walk out and back.
the views are breathtaking and the air is so clean ti makes you want to explore the prom.
love the prom! swam every year as a kid, surfed as a teenager and hiked as an adult. now i love taking my three children to this beautiful place- a destination to suit every age!
Wilsons Prom is so peaceful and very energising for the body, mind and soul. There are cabins to stay in and it is safe to camp. the beach’s are spectacular to view, with white soft sand, a tranquil sea and the bush walks are awesome. It is an experience not to be missed and well worth the drive out which in itself is a wonderful journey!
Unparalleled natural beauty!
I have taken my kids camping at the Prom several times and just want to keep going back because you see something new everytime you go! Last time we climbed Mt Oberron! Fantastic.
This is one of the most picturesque natural bush and seascapes in victoria. Undulating but breathtaking it is truly a beautiful region in our great state.
A great drive to get there, lots of great beaches, options for staying over night, beatiful walks, possums at night.
Beautiful weather, gorgeous views, nature in its most pure form, perfect place to get away from it all, beautiful, uncrowded beaches, peaceful, relaxing, great for a honeymoon or just a getaway with the family or your mates.
My kids adore Wilsons Prom-for its squeaky clean beach, holiday atmosphere and the environmental aspect-a must to do every year!!
Tidal River is fantastic for relaxing and just camping in a laid back casual atmosphere (beautiful!) and the southern end of the Prom has a fantastic overnight hiking route. Had my first overnight hike (3 nights) there, and I can’t wait to go back for more…. found the loveliest secluded beaches, a pristine environment, great views, a great time!
Inspirational National Park. I always marvel at the beauty of The Prom. I was lucky enough to grow up on a farm with uninterrupted views of The Prom and never tired of it. I cherish all the memories of my visits and look forward to sharing it with friends and family on future journeys.
Pristine beaches, a variety of coastal scenery, native plants, damp fern gullies… all within a short walk of each other. Lets hope the developers never get their hands on this paradise. I have been visiting for 56 years and am glad to be able to say that progress has been mercifully absent.
Good old fashioned back to basics place to visit or holiday. Peace, relaxation, wilderness and nature at its best.
Wilsons Prom is the most amazing place to get away from the stresses of the world and relax in one of the most beautiful untouched places on earth. You can choose your own adventure by camping and hiking to staying in 5 star luxurious cabins all surrounded by an abundance of native vegetation and wildlife.
The Prom has it all - stunning vistas, hikes for all ages and abilities, prolific wildlife, pristine beaches and peace.
Awesome views are the reward for some hard hiking
