Armed only with information gleaned off the internet, we took a punt on Apoolo Bay and Chris’s Restaurant & Villas as our base camp for a family holiday along the Great Ocean Road. It was a perfect choice! The villas are situated in a quiet bush setting with superb views of the Apollo Bay. Although the villas are well equipped, we couldn’t resist the service, food and hospitality provided by Chris and friends in the adjacent restaurant for some of our meals. The staff shared their local knowledge and helped us locate the best scenery and attractions in the region. Apollo Bay is an attractive township with a range of services and dining options, yet it still has the appeal of a quiet beach holiday destination. It’s hard to improve on something so good.
