Less than 1 hour from the Melbourne CBD you can be SkyHigh - on the uppermost reach of the Dandenong Ranges, amid cool fern glades and lush towering native forest, looking at the big picture, from the Mornington Peninsula across the majestic sweep of Port Phillip Bay, surrounded by Melbourne’s growing urban fringes, to the You Yangs on the southern horizon. After sunset the southern sky, brilliant in the clear mountain night, is imitated by a spectacular carpet of city lights.

From the moment I first visited Sky High 3 Years ago, I knew it was where I wanted to get married. With the most magnificent view in Victoria, beautiful gardens and amazing food, there couldn’t be a better all-in-one place to marry.
J’nae the function co-ordinator was so helpful in helping us organise the wedding-and if she was not in, the staff were always there to answer my every question!
On our visits to SkyHigh in the process of organising the wedding, we were warmly greeted and well looked after. The function room is beautiful, and J’nae let us choose everything we wanted, whilst providing us with many names of florists, bands, etc to help us make the right decision. When the day finally came in November last year, the weather couldn’t have been any more perfect. The gardens were gorgeous, the view was picturesque…
We married in the ’secret garden’, a secluded garden near the english gardens and the maze. Whilst we had our photos done, our guests were able to wander through the garden, and the children ran through the Sky high maze.
Sandra and Graham made sure everything ran smoothly, and tended to our every need ! The night was wonderful, the food amazing, and the staff really topped it off with their proffesional but friendly service.

Thankyou SkyHigh for an amazing night!!

Sounds like a fantastic place. It is definately on my “to do” list. We live over 350kms away so would make a great weekend destination when visiting our sons in Melbourne.

Great food and friendly staff make for a fantastic night. The views of the sunset over the city, and then the city lights are superb and set it apart from any other restaurant. Definitely worth the trip!!

I cannot praise the Skyhigh team enough. Our international visitors were not only amazed at the view - they were amazed by the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff.
The food matched the outlook - it really was a sight to see and enjoy.
If there is a better place to bring visitors and show them a little of Melbourne and Victoria, I have not seen it.
The Skyhigh team deserve congratulations on the wonderful refurbishment and relaunch of a serious Melbourne, Victorian & Australian Icon.

Beautiful views, frendly staff, great management, who have restored with great energy this ICONIC Dandenong Ranges venue to better than it’s former glory. Sky High Restaurant on top of Mount Dandenong, it continues to over look the whole of Melbourne and will always be part of the history of Melbourne and the Dandenongs.
A visit to Sky High, beautiful food, great company, should be on your 100 best things to do before you leave this life!!

I recently experienced the fabulous venue at Skyhigh Mt Dandenong to celebrate my 50th birthday. What a sensational place it was. From the beginning of arranging the night right through to the time to go home, my night was just perfect.
Beautiful venue, facitilities and of course the staff, that made the night a very special one. If you have not considered this as a venue, then you should definately put it on the top of your list!

From the moment we walked in to the Bistro we knew we had made the right decision to drive to the mountain top - of course we knew the views would be fantastic but we were absolutely delighted with the excellent service and delicious food. Graham was a wonderful host and his warm greeting set the tone for the evening with the staff following his lead. Our meals were absolutely wonderful and Graham’s suggestion of wine choice was perfect. I am very much looking forward to enjoying the pleasure of dining there again and needless to say enjoying the wonderful surrounds as well.

A venue like no other. Where else can you get a view like that. It’s a fantastic venue which has been revamped into something spectacular. We look forward to visiting as a family and experiencing the various attractions from the secret garden, the wonderful wood carvings and getting lost with the children in the maze. Every time we visit there is something new to see or do. It’s great for a Sunday BBQ or lunch/dinner for a special occasion, any excuse to visit and experience it again.

You’ve seen the view from Mt.Lofty in Adelaide and probably been impressed by the view from the Japanese restaurant at the back of Hollywood. Well, this leaves them both for dead. Unbelievable by day, or night. Oh, and the restaurant and conference centre are equally as outstanding. If you’ve never been, just go !

Wow, what a venue !!!! Being a local resident of the Yarra Ranges for more than 30 years and being a kid growing up in the area it has been a pleasure to watch SkyHigh transform from a delapidated, unloved building into a stunning, sensational and much loved icon of the Dandenongs. The views, the atmosphere are second to none and being a local it is great to see SkyHigh back on the map - whether you want a family fun day, a romantic dinner or a function for a special occasion - SkyHigh is the way to go. I had my Mum & Dad’s 50th Wedding anniversary in the Function room and it was just a magical night my Mum & Dad’s friends were talking about it for weeks to follow. If you haven’t seen the “new” SkyHigh you really don’t know what you are missing out on - congratulations to the owners who really have done a wonderful job in restoring this magnificent icon.

The new owner has truly transformed the place. For anyone who hasn’t been for over 3 years then you must go back……you wouldn’t believe how much more there is now and how good the place is looking.

For those who have never been, you must make a trip and see the rest of the Dandenongs whilst you are at it.

Whether you have a family day out for a BBQ, a romantic dinner for two in the bistro restaurant, or holding celebrations in the exhilarating function venue. Skyhigh Mt Dandenong can’t be beaten, it has everything, wonderful gardens to wander around, views to die for night and day, located on top of a mountain, and in a perfect setting where you have a bountiful choice of various accommodation facilities, this is a wonderful tourist attraction for local and overseas visitors.

I have attended a number of functions at this venue and it is perfect for dinners, breakfasts and special events. The food was always good, the views breathtaking and unique in Victoria, and the service very good.

Because of its location it is ideal for a getaway overnight or for the weekend. I also use the opportunity to stay at one of the beautiful cottages in the vicinity, get up in the morning, to Sky HIgh for breakfast and travel around the Dandenongs over the remainder of the weekend.

The service was amazing, all the attendants served with a smile and went out of their way to help and assist with questions the children asked. The giants chair is soooo cool as was the tree house, a very child friendly area. We have done a few mazes from Melbourne to Brisbane and the one at Skyhigh ranked among the best.
We got lost a couple of times on our trip yet we managed to find Skyhigh with out any problems. We are definately coming back for the new years eve celebration. In comparision we have just experienced Centerpoint in Sydney and though thought it was sensational the whole city experience for us is too much.
Great view, great food, great service, great place. Definately a must do when in Melbourne.

I actually work at Sky High, not because I have to, but because I want to! I appreciate the ever-changing views, both day and night. I enjoy meeting visitors from all over the country, and from all over the planet, who have heard of its individuality. As it is a family venue, It’s good to watch families experience its attractions, to chill out, to have fun, and to basically enjoy life. This tourism icon fills a family need, a social need, a recreational need, an entertainment need, and a “communing with nature” need. Everybody should experience what this venue has to offer!
