Albert Park Reserve is located 5km south of the CBD and is popular with dingy sailors on the large lake and it has dozens of fields for most ball sports. At the northern end is Melbourne Sports & Aquatic Centre (MSAC) with 3 indoor pools and 1 outdoor pool plus indoor basketball, table tennis, badminton and squash courts. The walk track around the lake is 200m short of 5km and is popular with lunchtime office workers. In March it hosts the F1 Grand Prix. It is a great place for a picnic and children’s play equipment is situated near most picnic areas which also have gas BBQ’s. Albert Park Reserve has something for everyone.

A great state park in the middle of the city. I love walking across the road to it and enjoying the many things to do there.
