A fantastic opportunity to see a wide range of Australian wildlife. A clean, well maintained sanctuary, and a great day out for all the family.

Myer’s Creek Cascades Healesville Romantic getaway
For the perfect romantic getaway, stay at Myer’s Creek Cascades where couples only stay in luxury self contained cottages amongst rainforest and landscaped garden including waterfalls. Spa bath, king sixed bed, open fire and absolute comfort and lots of luxury extras in a secluded setting. Close to Healesville attractions and wineries if you can drag yourself out. Fabulous dining at the candlelit Healesville hotel dining room. A perfect romantic escape!

The best fauna park of Australian animals I have seen. The platypus exhibit was the highlight for me.

See Australian animals in compact, lovely surroundings and learn more about them at the daily shows and talks. Also, see the new animal hospital. While in Healesville visit one of the local eateries as well as Badger Weir and Maroondah Reservoir.

I feel it is very important to recognize the huge contribution Healesville Sanctuary is making to save our wildlife.
The wildlife hospital and the Birds Of Prey exhibitions are unsurpassed in other venue in Australia.

Fabulous zoo to take international visitors to. Only thing we didn’t see was an echnida. Our 13 year old visitor from America fell in love with the platypus display. The birds of prey were amazing. Everything about this lovely zoo was wonderful

Fantastic place for the kids, a chance to get up close to a wide range of Australian animals. Compact enough that the younger ones don’t get worn out too quickly. Love the BBQ/picnic facilities as well. Also a great place to take overseas visitors to give them an Australian experiance.

We loved the sanctuary. It was small enought to get around in a few hours and had a wide variety of different animals. We loved the hosiptal and watched a live operation to repair a bird’s wing - fascinating. The birds of prey show was of particularly high standard with the keepers demostrating excellent knowledge and handling of their birds. I bought a zoo cotton bag that rolls up nice and small to fit in my handbag, washes well and has been regularly used back home in the UK - keep up the good conservation work Healesville.

No other zoo has the experience that is offered here. Where else can you get up close to such a variety of Australian animals and birdlife in such a beautiful setting. And it’s so close to Melbourne!

This is a must for your family and overseas visitors. Go as soon as it opens before all the visitors arrive and you’ll have a magical time.
