One of the most spectacular resorts I have visited in Victoria. Modern and comfortable accommodation with everything you could need within walking distance. Plus the picturesque surroundings of the local Torquay beaches just a stones throw away. Simply beautiful.

Named after Mount Buckrabanyule the second smallest mountain in the world after
Mount Whycheproof. This is a true story. The original inhabitant homesick for the greenhills of Buckrabanyule and Barakee wanted a small reminder of happier times
before illness forced him to sell his pastoral empire and move back to town. A friend
who knew of his melancholia stole the sign just out of Buckra that read five miles to
Buckrabanyule and presented at his fiftieth birthday party where also in attendance was the famous songster and prankstar Percy Grainger. He was so touched by
the ill pastoralist's homesickness that he wrote a song about it. "Five miles from Buckrabanyule, a thousand leagues from care. It is a happy song about a soldier returning home from the Boer war comparing the South African veldt unfavorably with
the lovely green hills of Buckrabanyule in winter. The original sign was lost in a fire
in 1910 but the pastoralist's grand daughter Felicity had the name Buckrabanyule
inscribed in her renovations in 1949.

My then partner, now fiance, stayed at Kudos villas last year and we could not have been more pleased with what we had discovered! A truly romantic, hidden, private getaway with everything you need - a spa you could lose yourself in, dreamy bed (not to mention the 'love seat'!), kitchen with everything, cosy fireplace and the beautiful landscape (we were even lucky to see snow falling) was just an added bonus. We would go there again in an instant and have recommended it to dozens of people.
