Arthurs Seat has been a popular recreational destination since the earliest days of settlement. The steep granite hill, the Peninsula’s highest viewpoint, provides panoramic views of Port Phillip Bay from its many lookouts and a wealth of things to do within a short walk of the summit.

Seawinds at Arthurs Seat offers the best sweeping bay views on the Peninsula. It’s a gorgeous place to picnic, barbecue, walk around or just sit back, unwind and soak up the scenery.

It’s a shame I lived for more than 20 years on the Peninsula before discovering this treasure, as it truly is somewhere very special.

Treat yourself and get to Arthurs Seat for a sunset. Walk around the gardens with the kids and watch the sun go down across the bay. You will recommend it to others once you have been!

Fantastic view, Lots of touristy things to do in the area. A challenging, but beautiful, road to ride your bicycle to the summit. Don’t take the chairlift if you value your life.

Arthurs Superb Views on Arthurs Seat

Wow what can I say? This area is really good and we visited all the wineries and hot springs.

A friend told us about Arthurs Superb Views so we booked in and what a room! It had everything and we sat in the spa looking out over Melbourne. It is just below the summit and has the same view.

We are going back to stay for our wedding night in November after they finish the renovations. This was a great getaway thanks Athurs Views.

Arthur’s Seat has breath taking views of the bay and surrounding landscape and is a leisurely drive from the suburbs of Melbourne. Living locally (Frankston area) as I have from childhood I always feel totally relaxed standing at the top of Arthurs Seat and looking out over Port Phillip Bay. There is also an amazing park called Seawinds so you can have a picnic and a kick of the footy with family and friends.

I use to host Japanese students who still reminisce about that visit to Arthur’s seat and the fun we had at Seawinds. It is a fabulous area to visit and it gives people a bird’s eye view of the Mornington Peninsula. I do miss the chairlift as it was an affordable ride and gave so much pleasure to many. I feel that the government should help revive this amazing attraction or possibly take it over as it was such a draw card to this area.

Aurthur’s Seat Chairlift needs to be re-opened. The Peninsula needs it for it’s tourism, the government needs to get behind it and help getting it fixed and safe before it’s too late and nothing can be done for it. I have grown up 1st holidaying in my grandparents house then we went to camping on the foreshore to now living here and raising my kids here which i want to show them the fun of the chairlift. i have seen it moved and also go through fires so come on get behind the Government to help make the chairlift safe, it’s part of our HERITAGE.

    Summit Views at arthur’s seat.

Relax and unwind in the luxurious spa’s available at this amazing bed and breakfast while you soak up the beautiful views of Arthur’s seat and it’s surroundings.

This bed and breakfast has fantastic service, and the most home baked bread I have ever tasted.

I must confess that once I stepped in to this place I was quite content to marvel at Arthur’s seat beauty from the balcony top without actually leaving the apartment.

    Seawinds Park at Arthurs Seat
This park is a beautiful old garden on the cliff tops of Arthur’s Seat. The house no longer exists, but much of the garden area has been maintained, including ponds and some William Rickett’s sculptures. It has marvellous walks, excellent views of Port Phillip Bay, both north and south and is an ideal picnic spot.
