I’ve lived in Beechworth for 20 years and think its the most beautiful place in Australia, during every season. We’ve just experienced a spectatular Autumn display in nearly every street in our town and are now enjoying a crisp cold Winter with lovely fires to curl up in front of.

Beechworth is full of unexplainable wonders, one really has to experience it to understand. The locals are kind, the shops are full of amazing things and one just can’t go past the pub counter meals. A true delight, I only wish I could go there every weekend.

BEECHWORTH has the biggest and the very best Genuine ANTIQUES SHOP between Melbourne And SYDNEY. They import all their rarities from Europe. We find bargains and just the right pieces there for our provincial lifestyle.
Beechworth also has many complimentary shops all dealing in the unusual, including garden statuary decore and French garden accessories. and a wonderful wine centre. Fabulous accomodationand dining too , including THE GREEN SHED BISTRO!

But its a secret, dont tell anyone or their prices will go up!

Voted 4th best tourist destination in Australia by the Australia Traveller magazine a couple years ago and you can see why. Beechworth`s fine wine and dining along with the best varied accommodation in victoria is a great start. The historic and cultural precinct , wide tree lined streetscape and with it`s bluestone gutters are amazing when you begin entering the township is like stepping back in time.
