   A great day out with friends, I go every year. I’ve learnt to wear more comfy shoes, but definately a great day to get glammed up and wear a fancy hat, love the fact you can get so close to the horse racing and its exciting to place a bet on the horses, you never know your luck!

   Its a festival when all the girls don the frocks and the men wear a suit. Its something everyone must experience at least once to realise the fun and excitement to be had. I enjoy being a lady for a day amongst the spring flowers, fashion and fun.

   Melbourne Cup Week!
   If you only do this once, or like me you try do it every year, you and your friends must go to Melbourne Cup Week. There is a lot to organise so you must start no later than Sept - you’ll need frocks, hats, shoes (and time to wear them in) plus organise your tickets and hamper. Don’t forget to start studying the form in October by watching the Vic Country Cups, Caulfield cup & Cox plate then you’re set! Good Luck

   The Melbourne Cup Carnival is a time when Melbourne truely becomes alive. There is an exciting buzz around the city with a focus on fashion, racing and entertainment .

   Spring Racing Carnival brings Melbourne to life. It positively effects all aspects of Melbourne including Hotels, Restaurants, Fashion, Transport and generates much needed funds for our economy.

   People unite and celebrate together in the happy and exciting time that surrounds the Spring Carnival. Its a chance for the ladies to showcase the latest Australian fashions and the men to unite and enjoy in the celebrations with friends and family.

   There is nothing better than seeing majestic horses in all their glory competing for a prize. The fashions are fantastic and the courses are always beautifully presented. Melbourne comes alive during the spring racing carnival.
