This is a gem - everything its advertised as and more! Beautiful surroundings and gardens, near the beach and run by Ian and Madeleine, an exceptional couple who really understand hospitality from their worldly travels. We stayed in the Anderson Suite - a separate cottage steeped in history with four poster. Breakfast is something else (a real chef), and local ingredients, but you have to go to the dining room. There’s good reaturants nearby and lots to do around the island (Ian has the scoop on what to do).

Wonderful hosts, excellent accommodation in a very private gargen setting - and near an almost deserted beach..

We could not have been made more welcome, and Madeleine went out of her way to advise us on things to see and do, including making reservations for us at the Penguins and local restaurants.

Breakfast is something else (Madeleine’s son Martin is one of the chefs and his experience shows - my wife is vegetarian). This was one of the best stays in our trip from the UK in January 2008. Highly recommended. John, UK.
