Canoeing and fishing on the Glenelg River
Wonderful natural environment and a very neat , peaceful township in a country area where you can do many relaxing activities. I truly feel revitilized and I only wish to go back soon.

I totally agree with you Francis. This is my favourite part of Victoria. I have spent many very happy and relaxing hours as a child and later as a parent with my own children, on and around this river. The camping areas are secluded and quiet with many having only 3 or 4 tent sites at each area. A highlight for me is to spot an Azure Kingfisher among many other bird species that make this area their home. The proximity of the Great South West Walk makes the river experience even more enjoyable as it allows you to wander through the Lower Glenelg NP and observe all of the diverse flora and fauna that is on offer.
