A fantastic couple, Grant Donaldson and Eileen Gordon, blow amazing glass in front of your eyes and explain the process at their studio and gallery in Red Hill. Set in a beautiful rural setting on the corner of Red Hill Road and Dunns Creek road, this friendly gallery is one of Victoria’s best kept secrets and their glass is simply magnificent.

Love their work. Love the pieces i own. love going to galleries and seeing pieces of glass immediately recognizable. love going to friends houses and seeing pieces of the work and knowing it’s history. You’ve added a beautiful industry to a beautiful part of the world. WELL DONE.

we went on Red Hill Market night and enjoyed the cheese, wine and the glass blowing. It was wonderful watching these masters work and then having a go ourselves it was a really great night. i have a new respect for glass blowing and the beautiful pieces that are created.

fascinating to watch, and also such a great family atmosphere with the dog keeping warm beside the kiln, and children dropping in and out.

Fabulous to watch. All the way from WA and it was the best and most accessible glass studio we visited on the trip.

So much of life today is geared around what’s ‘quick and easy’, looks good but lacks substance. Gordon studio offers a refreshing alternative; A tourism experience that is fascinating and unique. Nestled in the beautiful Redhill bushland, guests to the gallery can take in at close range the amazing skill and artistry of the glassblowers and also marvel at, even perhaps purchase a stunning piece of glass. I’ve got some! It gets my thumbs up.

The moment I stepped out of the car, I knew I was in for a visual treat. The garden was dotted with art pieces and interesting sculptures. The chooks roamed about the place making it feel like home. Stepping into the studio was just, “Wow”… magnificent work which will gain value with time.

On completilng her initial glass training at the Brierley Glass school the Principle said of Eileen ” we wish we had more students of her calibre” Her commitment to the art of glass making has always been of the highest order. Grant in turn has equally become an artist in his own right and his glass sculptures are fast becoming features in parks and gardens.
