Warragul, central Gippsland, is the gateway to Gippsland’s ‘gourmet’ country and is a hub of quality cafes, delis and restaurants.  In nearby Yarragon village, the regions finest produce and wine can be sampled and purchased, before heading across the rolling hills to try award winning boutique beers at Grand Ridge Brewery.

A short drive from the city and you can eat such sensational food. A favourite of ours is Clearly Delicious in Lillico for their Rhubarb Relish and Strawberry and Lavendar Jam. Also love to stop for an icecream at Yarragon Food & Wine. Parnassus is also great to visit. Finally a trip up to Noogee is memorable.

Easy driving distance from Melbourne, Yarragon Village is a one stop destination. From handmade to vintage to food to retro…..it has it all. Once you have finished wandering through the Village, head up the mountain. The Views are spectacular.

Easy drive from Melbourne, beautiful scenery, shopping experience in Yarragon, comfy b&b’s, and great eating experiences - try Brandy Creek Winery’s View Cafe for delicious wines and tapas, Jack’s and Jackson’s at JIndivick for bistro or fine dining in the heart of green rolling country. Art galleries in Neerim South, Trafalgar and Yarragon showcase our fine artists and craftspersons.And.. try the theatres in Drouin and Warragul, with fine music at Wesley of Warragul.

When heading to Victoria number one tourist destination Wilsons Promontory you have to stop into the Koonwarra Food Wine and Produce Store, just the other side of Leongatha. They serve the best breakfast, yummy lunches, make their own cakes and serve the best coffee in Gippsland. They also stock a great supply of hand made produce as well as a fantastic array of Gippsland wines. This place is a must stop when on the way to the Prom.

Gippsland Gourmet Country offers a genuine country experience. It is a pleasant drive from Melbourne and once you leave the highway behind, the countryside with its rolling green hills unfolds before you. The region offers a sensational food and wine experience with its contemporary cafes, fine dinning restaurants and providores overflowing with award winning local cheese and produce. Yarragon Village offers a wonderful shopping experience and there are many galleries and art studios scattered throughout. Follow the wine trail to meet the winemaker at the cellar door or get close to nature whilst bushwalking through fern gullies, forest and natural bush.

Eating is essential to life. At home or on holidays we need food. Any holiday will be memorable if it includes at least one gourmet food experience, especially if the food is local.
