It’s a great walking track that has fantastic views across the Great Divide. You can walk through a range of different forests, with wildflowers, little orchids, birds, goldrush relics. The trail links many gold rush towns including Buninyong and Ballarat, Creswick and Daylesford. It also links Bacchus Marsh, Blackwood, Daylesford, Castlemaine and Bendigo. I’ve only walked on it but many people ride their bikes on parts of it - it’s a great asset for Central Victoria nature based tourism.
