Gumbuya Park is a great place for a day out for the whole family! Set on 430 acres of natural bushland, just 1 hour from Melbourne, Gumbuya Park has something for everyone- from exciting amusement rides, sheltered BBQ areas, picnic facilities, cafe and resident wildlife Suggested by: diane campbell
We visited the park today for our annual extended family get together. We booked a Function Room and enjoyed a very pleasant day. Our group ranged from babies to nanas and all had a comfortable experience. We noted some improvements to the park to fresen up some enclosures and the effort to upgrade the free BBQs & picnic areas will see us recommend GPark to our friends and social groups. Congratulations to the management - keep the improvements coming!
It’s a nice place for a day out. Especialy because of the location ( affordable drive from CBD ) & activities can attend. Also it containts fairly large capacity of facilities for a large number of visitours.
I visited Gumbuya Park with my family on 6/7/08 and we had a fantastic time, my 1 and a half year old daughter loved feeding the kangaroos! Gumbuya park is a cheap family day out with lots to see and do, the kids just love having the freedom to run around and feel the nature! We are planning a pre Christmas BBQ with all of our friends because we think it would be just great.
We visited Gumbuya with our three grandchildren on July 4th 2008, it was still as pleasant as it was when we first took our children and the other visits since.
It was good to see the work being done to maintain the standard and add more facilities. Definately a place we need to keep as a tourist attraction.
The addition of a Bistro certainly sounds interesting.
We visited Gumbuya Park today (28/6/2008) and every one i went with had the most fun in a long time (including myself) we really loved the toboggan slide, the twister carts, the paddle boats, mini cars and we also had fun playing a game of mini golf we missed out on the waterslide but next time we return we will most defently go on the waterslide and enjoy a bbq lunch and To the Staff of Gumbuya Park you were all really friendly and made our experience feel very welcome and we’ll be seein you again. Thank you.
We visited Gumbuya Park on Sunday 8 June 08 during Queen’s bday long weekend, with my husband & our 3.5 year old daughter. We also took a family friend of ours who has a 5 year old daughter, for a whole day trip.
Gumbuya Park is a great entertainment place for family with kids of any age. We had a great time. It was very relaxing for us parents and great to see kids enjoying without us having to entertain them:-). Its a beautifully green park with lots of wild life, birds and lots of activities for kids.
The kids enjoyed car-rides with the dads, paddle boat rides, animal feeding etc. Towards the end of the day, the great amusement for kids was the bungy swing.
The picnic, park & cafe facilities are very nice. My husband last viisted the park more than 10 years back and he said the park’s natural greenary and beauty has not changed over time but has been well maintained with lots more activities now. The rest of us were visiting the park for first time and very impressed.
We would recommend the park to everyone. A must see place! And we ourselvses would go back there again!
Thank you
Gumbuya Park is a great location for the whole family. We visited it on 8 June 2008 and was very impressed by the vast open spaces, beautiful natural treed areas for the wild life sanctuary and the range of things for kids of all ages to do. Our 4 year old loved going on the car rides with his dad, and hand feeding the kangaroos. My husband loved the aged 9 and over toboggan run. There are plenty of BBQ facilities - it would be a great place for a family get together or end of year breakup. We loved it.
