A man made island in the Yarra river, re-vegetated by the efforts of Parks Victoria and the Friends of Herring Island, containing a permanent collection of outdoor sculpture and hosting the Herring Island Summer Arts Festival each year from mid January to mid April. Access by water craft - Parks Victoria’s punt service runs in the summer months.
