always a pleasing experience visiting the tea rooms. Good food at a reasonable cost plus great hosts. A beautiful bluestone building and an added bonus of the relaxing outside al fresco dining area.
The gardens and railway are a must . Ever changing but always a delight to see and savour, truly a worthwhile experience away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Highbury tearooms was an unexpected delight in a small rural township. The food was delicious; we were made to feel very welcome, and the stroll around the gardens and miniature railline was a very restful stop on our journey. We were able to take our time to just enjoy the experience. We will tell our friends and family not to miss out on a visit to Highbury when they are in that vacinity.

Our visit to Highbury Tearooms Teesdale, for a family birthday lunch celebration was highly recommended. It was a relaxng and very pleasent ,enjoyable , warm and cosy experieince, which we would highly recommend to everyone travelling through the countryside of Teesdale The full bar service was excellent, and the fresh food choices were plentiful and presented with a very high standard at a reasonable price
The other main attraction were the magnificent Gardensof ponds , waterfalls and model railway display, the likes of I have never seen before, which delghted all of our family .I look forwrd to returning to Highjbury Tearooms again in the near future, and wish the owners continued success in their business.

We have enjoyed Audrey’s delicious meals on several occasions - we most enjoyed the “Bavarian” night seems like years ago now - also Peter & Val’s wedding anniversary. We lobbed with a Rotary group of 16 after a winery tour last year & they coped with us very well. We can highly recommend Highbury & it’s great to have a local restaurant.

Audrey’s home cooking, the meals, soup, coffee & cakes not to mention the hospitality is second to none. The railway & gardens are something else. As for Tom, well here is a man who would talk the legs of an iron table, hates a drink & is always ready with a tale or two about the local area and he keeps the beer nice and cold.
All of which goes to make a perfect outing & certainly worth the drive in the country. Who says hard work doesn’t pay. Good luck with the voting. You BOTH deserve all the praise you get. Morrie.

My friends and I met Tom a Buckley’s Entertainment Centre in Geelong and heard about Highbury Tearooms & Model Village Railway at Teesdale. So we made a trip to visit Highbury and were delighted to see the excellent layout. The Garden Village is fantastic and the food is out of this world. The home cooked roasts, scones and cakes melt in your mouth. The friendly hosts are what made our day most enjoyable. I highly recommend you have a visit to Highbury for a day that you will talk about to your friends for a very long time. Good luck with your voting

A wonderful relaxing atmosphere to enjoy a day out. The meals were great value and the home cooked selection was wonderful. We’ve returned three or four time now taking different friends for the experience. Each time we’ve returned the gardens have been more impressive and engaging. We have watch the stages of its growth and the history maintained is there for all to see in original photographs, from when it was a house, to the immaculate gardens, restuarant and, art gallery it has become today. The dining area features artwork from local artists, which can be purchased, and with the minature railway continuosly growing, Its just an all round enjoyable experience, that I highly recommend.

Teesdale is a wonderful place to live and bring up your children and it is great to see local business become successful. Highbury Tearooms has grown over the past two years and is a delightful place to meet for a relaxing and friendly meal. The food is great and the coffee hot. It gets my vote.

These tea rooms are situated in the beautiful undulating country side of Teesdale in the Golden Plains Shire. It is a lovely welcoming place to visit for lunch or just coffee and counrty style home made goodies. The owners and staff made my visit special by being friendly, welcoming and accomodating to my needs.
The tearooms are now a must for our work and social get togethers.
The owners continue to expand and develop their tea rooms to work towards excellence in their field.
    Good luck with your voting.

If you want a lovely drive in the country then this is the place to go to get away from it all at Teesdale. Cosy tearooms with wood fire burning in winter and for summer cool verandahs outside alongside fish ponds and running water - soothing for the soul. Lovely home made cakes, scones/jam and cream with a latte or pot of tea. Home cooked roast - going back with a group for Sunday lunch. Very pleasant hostess makes you feel very welcome. Added attraction for the young and young at heart - model railway - really worth a look see.

i have voted for highberry tearooms because, the staff are very nice and willing to have a chat about how they have put the trains and mountins and everything together. the train tracks and trains are all amazing. It is great for all ages. The food and service was just wounderful. I would like to wish them all the best and will defently be going back and taking more family and friends with me next time.
Also i think it is wounderful how the trains all make realistic noises like they are real. the lights and boom gates all work and i just can not express myself on my experiance there. Reconmended to everyone. GOOD LUCK

Being a local of the area it is very special to have a venue close by that you can take friends and visitors to see. Not only is it a cafe restaurant but it has the most beautiful garden railway that you can sit and immerse yourself in while enjoying a coffee or a chardy. While in Teesdale take the opportunity to pop into the newly opened wildlife and giftware gallery (Nature Awakened).

Having previously been to a Christmas in July function, when my (future) wife and I were looking for a venue for our Wedding reception we contacted Tom & Audrey to see if they could accomodate us. They could, and a wonderful time was had by our guests and ourselves. The service was friendly, fast, and efficient. Being a model railway enthusiast only made the experience even more memorable! I do believe ours was the first wedding reception at Highbury, but I doubt it will be the last.

We have been to the Tearooms twice and thoroughly enjoyed it both times. The devonshire tea was delicious and the roast was the biggest and best we’d had in a while - fantastic cooking! The kids thought the train village was awesome and we all said we could stand there watching the trains go around for ages. Great to see the village at night and during the day. My wife had her 60th birthday at Highbury in the form of an afternoon tea. Audrey provided a lovely country experience in cosy, friendly surroundings. Highbury is a welcome retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city (where we live). We have been there with friends on other occasions because of its ambience and location.

Highbury tearooms and model village railway is a unique and unexpected treasure. The devonshire tea was delicious and the beautiful and well thought out railway was a wonderful attraction for little and big people alike. Well worth the little drive from Geelong.

I would highly recommed Highbury Tearooms & Model Village Railway - the Staff were vere professional and friendly. The Food was excellent. The Model Railway was wonderful - very difficult to put into words - you would have to see it for yourself to realise just how much work has gone into it - the kids just loved it along with my parents. Overall it was a great day out enjoyment had by all.

A great oasis in the hot summer months (and a cosy retreat in the colder ones)with cool pools, beautiful gardens and birds, excellent food (plus possibly the best English Breakfast tea in Victoria?), and warm hospitality. Oh yes, and the fabulous garden railway.

Amazing gardens, the ideal spot that fascinates all ages. Wonderful staff and beautiful and delicious home-cooked meals. Everything about the tearooms screams warm, friendly, sociable and family orientated. The place is simple unforgettable and will have you going back for more.

What a find this place is - real country warmth and charm. The garden is absolutely enchanting and the model railway kept the boys in our group occupied while us girls lingered over coffee and cake. My only complaint is that I didn’t have room for a second helping of home-baked pie.
A delightful and genuine Aussie countryside experience.

As an owner/operator of a similar model village in N.S.W. I can only say to you it is well worth the trip there to enjoy the Highbury Tearoom experience.

Great little place! Fantastic garden and humungus model train and village set which is surrounded by rock pools set in lovely garden.
They serve great coffee and freshly baked delights with friendly service. Well worth a visit. The trains run under lights on Saturday nights. It’s well worth the pleasant drive down to Teesdale.

Excellent layout and detail. Changes made to display quite often. Night viewing with the trains and towns lit up, engine and station sounds all add up to an unforgetable visit.
