   The Slab Hut is one of the original settlers huts still standing, even though it has been transferred from its original position, and slightly modified for safety standards. It is unique. It gives visitors the opportunity to see what can be made with a few bits of timber and wire.
   The Exhibition Centre is a big contrast architecturally, being a modern structure and housing modern day art.
   Besides a continual change of art works - painting, photography, quilting, needlework, felting etc. there is the permanent exhibition of woodwork. The Woodwork competition/exhibition is held annually and has entries from all over Australia. From large articles of furniture to the smallest of brooches. Has to be made from Australian woods, and some entries are specifically from recycled timber.
   Both are worthy of a visit - and you receive a free cuppa at the Exhibition centre.
