The Kelpie Festival is held on the Queens Birthday Long weekend in June each year.
It is a must do on your list of things to do in your lifetime.
Casterton is in the Western District nestled amongst rolling hills.
Settled in 1846 and associated with the Henty Bros which settled on Merino Downs.
Casterton is a beautiful town and full of wonderful things to see and do.

    I went to the kelpie festival this year for the first time and had an absolute ball

    I grew up in Casterton, always knew the town had potential. Went to my first kelpie festival this weekend - awesome! Something for everyone and a real community event.
