The Lyrebird Forest Walk is as lovely as its name suggests. It takes in two aspects of the Strzelecki Ranges, from temperate rainforest to the drier open woodlands. Located only 3km from the township of Mirboo North on the Strzelecki Highway. When you walk into the Lyrebird Forest Walk you could be immersed miles into the forest, there is no outside noise, hear only the birds, the breeze through the trees, the movements of wildlife rustling through the bush or the river water gently moving to its intended destination. This is definitely a walk that deserves a visit at all times during the day or night. Every time we walk through the Lyrebird Forest Walk we discover something spectacular. Great Mountain Ash, lush fern gullies, massive moss covered logs that have fallen years before, spring flowers, colorful fungi and masses of flora and fauna.
A touch of bush magic in the heart of the Strzelecki Ranges & SO easy to get to and the walking will suit everyone, you would be mad to pass this one by!!
