My partner and I recently stayed at Macedon Spa to celebrate my birthday. The resturants ambience and food is just amazing and toped off a lovely day of exploring the historical sites of Macedon. The rooms with the gas log heaters and the split system art air conditioners set the room at a comfertable temperature leaving the air cosy. My partner and I also managed to sneak in a couples package at the Day Spa, and both have decided to return at least every six months to unwind. Macedon spa is a resonably priced and well managed establishment and I cant wait to get back there for another amazing dinner and a Chocky Truffle Body Wrap. Thanks for an amazing break!

I think Macedon Spas is a great asset for the Macedon Ranges region. The service is wonderful and the views are stunning.

Having seen the promo on Coxy’s big break we decided to take up the offer , to say the least my girlfriend and I were VERY disappointed with the whole experience . Spending the amount of money we did one would expect to at least get a hot breakfast included in the package instead of a light breakfast , cereal and toast , as other hotels throw in buffet breakfasts for the same price , reading Janines comments we didn’t miss much there . I would recommend a cafe in Macedon where we had a HOT breakfast and the food and service was fantastic. As for the room we stayed in the water pooled in the shower and the cold winds came through the front door , also around the log fire it hadn’t been sealed properly as well and cold air came through , ok for summer but not winter . Towels were not changed just folded and put back on the rail … still wet . Overall very disappointed and would not recommend or consider returning .

We were treated to a lovely room, great view, and beautiful luxurious surroundings. Thank-you to the staff who were oh so friendly and even came to our room and connected a dvd player! Restaurant food is fantastic also!
Great place to relax. Thanks Coxy for the deal!

Having just spent this Satuarday night at the Macedon Spa Motel to celebrate a special anniversay with my partner l would have to say we where VERY dissapointed with the whole experience.
The resturant had a “melt down” managers words on the Satuarday night - service so bad - food ok when it finally arrived - then to top off stay breakfast served 45mins late & stone cold…….
Reception staff next morning did’nt seen to care about complaints from many guests checking out - but happy to take our money.
Would not recommend staying there and will be returning.

I enjoyed a lovely night at Macedon Spa. The restaurant was busy, buzzing and the food delicious. The rooms were comfortable and the beds luxurious and warm. But the staff are what will stand out in memory for me. Your spa is lovely, the location beautiful, and your friendly and helpful staff make the time spent there even better! We will be back!

Really nice place to stay. The rooms are modern and well kept. Dinner at the restaurant was fantastic and the views are exceptional. I’d recommend the ‘mum and bump’ package at the day spa for any mum-to-be.

Really loved everything about the establishment. We go up with a group of 8 friends each year and the staff and owner Steve could not do more for us. we love it and have told all our friends about it even those interstate. Do yourself a favour and spend a weekend up there.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms were beautifully presented, very warm and welcoming. The beds were truly comfortable … almost better than at home, and that’s hard to beat! The restaurant food was excellent and the day spa very good also. We’ll be back!

A delightful new venue in a special part of Victoria. Established for folk to enjoy a relaxed environment with access to pool and spa then the ability to have massage and a variety of treatments The restaurant is excellent with magnificent views and delicious food and an extensive choice of wine. The motel-type rooms are well apppointed and very comfortable with thought given to the of comfort patrons. Excellint

i will always remember Macedon Spa as a special place where we spent our last weekend away before my soul mate, Kim passed away from Ovarian Cancer on 2 March 2008. Kim was my first girl friend in year 7 and after 30 years we found each other by chance and then lived together for the last 6 years. Kim gave me the best 6 years of my life. From the time Kim was told she had cancer every minute of every day I was with Kim was special. to be able to get away on the odd weekend from the doctors, hospitals, kids and everything else was always a very special time for us which we always cherrished. Macedon Spa was the perfect retreat for us enjoying our quiet time together watching the kangaroos from our window hoping by in the mornings then returning in the afternoon. Everything was perfect from the accomodation, service, scenery and of course the restuarant. Thankyou Macedon Spa for the everlasting wonderfull memories you have left me of my last weekend away with my beautiful soul mate Kim who I will miss so much. Best of health to everyone.

I had the pleasure of taking my wife on a suprise for our anniversary & we just both loved it. The rooms were well appointed, the Day Spa was excellent including the Full Massage for myself & a Body Wrap for my wife. The Dinner was excellent, credit to the chefs. Highly recommended & will return again.

I was looking for somewhere to take my wife for her birthday, scanning the internet, trying to find somewhere which would make the whole process easy. I came across the excellent Macedon spa website and realised what we wanted was in one spot. The views looked great. On arrival, nothing disappointed. The standard motel room was the equal of any, with many thoughtful small touches. The day spa was a genuinely relaxing experience, while the restaurant’s food was first class and the views (even during overcast times) were memorable. Everyone, from the three venues, was friendly, courteous and professional. In short, a great place to stay.

The peace and tranquility of this hidden wonder is un-paralleled. Relaxing with a massage or indulge in a bottle of wine over a gourmet meal is the perfect way to un-wind after a week at the office.
The rooms are spacious and luxurious, with views that can be enjoyed as you lay in your private spa for 2. We stumbled upon this magnificent property by chance, returning from a weekend of pampering in Daylesford. Now if we want to be pampered or destressed, we book a weekend at the Macedon Spa Resort.

We visited Macedon Spa a couple of weeks ago with friends who are getting married there next Jan 2009. On arrival we were greeted by the reception staff in a very in a friendly and professional manner, we dined in the beautiful restaurant overlooking the ranges, the service was professional and very friendly. There was a variety in the menu and the food was cooked beautifully with good presentation. I am looking forward to my stay there in January.

Such a short drive from Melbourne and you feel like you are right away from the rat race.
Our weekend away was wonderful, beginning with very friendly staff, a great relaxing spa whilst watching the LCD TV, then onto a delicious meal in the restaurant. Finishing with a lovely massage and a quick swim before heading home. I have recommended the resort to my friends and family and will definitely revisit myself.

Our stay was certainly enjoyable but marred by the spa experience of having to leave the actual spa and have a massage in a motel room. Not so squeezy!
The restuarant was great and the room was well appointed and private with a great spa outlook over the mountains. Get a first floor room though if you want to see the mountains. Definitely worth a try for a nice weekend.

I have voted because I like to support businesses which give excellent service and value for money. The Macedon Spa is one of my favourite places and I have managed to get my husband, girlfriends and family to feel the same. The rooms are fabulous (even though it did take me a tad of time to find the bathroom), the restaurant is absolutely top notch and the service is excellent, especially when you have the owner of the property waiting at your table and making you breakfast and making you feel very welcome. Then there is the Spa treatments - now I could go on and on and on about them.

We had a fantastic time staying there. The facilities were great, and all the staff were really helpful and welcoming. We loved the setting and the food at the restaurant. The pampering in the Spa was just delightful, and we returned home feeling fresh and totally rejuvenated. We thoroughly recommend it, and we will be back.

I must say that the highlight of this property is the restaurant in which I have returned there twice. The big deep soak in-room bath spa is fabulous . Latest technology LCD TV also. Love the breakfast provision.

I did not use the day spa facilities as it was abit crowded when i stayed.
Overall, A great place if you are looking for a quiet weekend in luxury. Need to book ahead if you want to use the day spa *(massage etc) facilities thou.

We had an awesome weekend here last August. We had never been in he Macedon Ranges, and didn’t realise how close to Melbourne it is. The Spa is well appointed, with the rooms very warm and comfortble. We had an excellent dinner in the restaurant, looking down the valley to the city. The Spa was a great two hours spent being pampered. To cap it all off, when we enquired about newspaper availability on one of the mornings, the response was a knock on the door 20 minutes later by the owner who had driven into Woodend to get some for us. I have since referred a couple of friends to the Spa and hey have had an equally good time.

The rooms and food were amazing! The Day Spa was quite small and uninviting, there needs to be a more pleasant and relaxing feel to it, however with improvement, definately worthwile revisiting!

Having had the opportunity to stay there, eat there, hold a private function there, and use the day spa facilities why would you go anywhere else. Something so great so close. Highly recommended.
