Our guests have always been intrigued with the changes and activity at Manyung Gallery. My favourite was when we had international guests and Manyung had a wonderful exhibition with apparently suspended spheres, in fact’ ‘globes of the world” suspended in midair, above their tripod stands. A magic drawcard. this is a great Australian Gallery
78 year old James Egan, a fabulous world reknowned artist ,gave 4 days of talks over dinner for the invited guests back in March. Where else would you want to see the likes of James Egan, who sold his art to Imelda Marcos and Princess Diana His over dinner stories and his fabulous production of wonderful art were greatly received and enjoyed by those present. Well done Manyung Gallery.

A brilliant setting - you can quietly contemplate amidst wonderful art pieces, or catch up for a coffee or light meal surrounded by sculptures and artworks. Special treats are exhibitions by guest artists from time to time. This really is a wonderful place to visit - do not drive by!

I have known Manyung Gallery since its very early days and have seen it grow and develop, and mature into the always intriguing, absolutely amazing and inspiring gallery that it is today.

Manyung Gallery is a tourist destination that should NOT be missed by anyone.
EVERYONE will find something of interest to admire, and to ponder about.

I recommend Manyung Gallery to ALL visitors to the Mornington Peninsula.

Wonderfully inspiring, controversial and always challenging being in company of fresh ideas, off the planet art and interestingly attired visitors. Spot the artist and grab a possie at the snug. Watching the patrons is as much fun as working out what the meanings are contained in all this modern art. Engage in a chat with anyone and find out unusual things about almost anything. Great Friday nights the first of every month.

Our members (someof whom are artists themselves) were most impressed at the diversity of the art on exhibition, as well as the warmth of the hospitality provided by John and the Boyz@Manyung. A definite must do! Cheers Ken and Karen

Manyung is a Peninsula Icon. The gallery directors David and Sharyn are well informed on art and are always happy to share knowledge and educate visitors about the many wonderful featured artists and art in general. It is a friendly welcoming gallery with a focus on an enjoyable experience for the visitor. Have watched this Gallery and the restaurant evolve for several years. Terry Hadler, one of their premier artists, is a favorite of mine. Good to have a place to not only showcase art, but to enjoy the atmosphere and food and if one is so inclined to actually begin to draw/ paint with expert instruction.

This gallery is very easy to get to from Melbourne and is situated at the gateway to the picturesque Mornington Peninsula. The gallery offers an ever changing array of visual delights to tantilise the senses and every time I visit there is sure to be more new, fresh and exciting works to view. the gallery has a great balance of 2D and 3D works and it is always a joy to explore the various rooms on display. Having a cafe next door is the perfect way to finish a visist with delicious cakes and great coffee. I come from Beechworth ( I have family in southern suburbs of melbourne ) and have travelled quite a bit around Victoria. I really wish there were more galleries like Manyung in other towns for me to visit !

When a gallery constantly changes its exhibits and brings the artist to you there is no need to visit multiple galleries. Since first visiting the gallery in 2006 we have purchased a number of items and introduced friends. The quality of the artwork has enhanced our lives and price has enabled us to purchase new pieces regularly. Sharyn and David are very knowledgeable and attentive without being pushy. They keep us apprised of new artists and works by artists we like to collect. One of the sculptures in the gallery so inspired us, we designed an entire backyard around it!
Sunday lunch at Boyz or dinner after the monthly previews rounds off a wonderful experience.

Manyung Gallery is my outlet and place to become inspired.

Am hoping by the end of this year to get into art myself.

For the past seven years I’ve been retired and hoping to get into painting… However, family have come first and kept me busy with 3 weddings, the birth of 5 grandchildren and lots of babysitting which requies frequent trips from Geelong to Hobart and Mornington; that’s where my children and their families have settled. So with little time for appreciating art, I find Manyung offers a high quality, wide variety of work in a friendly warm atmosphere, with cooffe if I have time!

The mix of fine art, sculpture, ceramics and jewellery is tastefully displayed making use of the surrounding courtyard and adds to the ambience of the gallery. Painting lessons and an artist in residence, all make for a special friendly place. The association with Boyz for Brekkie is an added bonus.

One of the joys of Mount Eliza and definately apart of the local culture. This is an escape for those seeking an amazing journey through a variety of comtempory artworks. I endeavour to go to every friday opening to meet the artists and dine at The Boyz@Manyung. For those passing through the Mornington Peninsula on a Sunday, take a stop over at Manyung for a bite to eat and to see the exhibition.

Set in leafy Mt Eliza, Manyung is a vibrant and upbeat gallery turning over exhibitions by contemporary artists monthly.
See an eclectic sculpture collection in the court yard, and a stunning jewellery exhibition in January. Glass work also abounds.
Manyung is well known for combining with local wineries , particularly at its exhibition launches on the first Friday of the month.
Enjoy the art and the ambience with a quiet drink in the leafy courtyard in summer or a wine by a crackling fire in the depths of winter at Boyz Restaurant, renowned on the peninsula for stunning food and great hospitality.

Manyung has it all, art - all types and prices, stunning setting, great wine and food. Not to be missed. Allow at least a half day..

Manyung Gallery, with it’s odd architecture and drawbridge is an arresting building. Inside, the walls host changing exhibitions of interesting paintings and sculpture, a far cry from a decade or two ago when it was all crafty pottery and flower arrangements. The open fires in winter help create an inviting atmosphere the courtyard is picturesque and the cafe cum restaurant is a cheerful and friendly place to enjoy a coffe or a great meal.

From the unique ‘castle drawbridge’ facade you are drawn through the quaint courtyard to admire and appreciate the artwork and sculptures in a cosy environment. You can breeze through or stop to enjoy a meal, glass of wine or coffee. Then take a second look at the artists’ work on show before leaving. It is a favourite of mine. I make a habit of taking my visitors there on the way to the Peninsula. Well worth the stop.

In one venue you can view a vast range and mix of genres and price points for budding art collectors to the most avid. Not just a one room gallery like many, this is worth the stop, and a visit to Boyz the cafe on site is also a chance to experience Peninsula hospitality at it’s best with a glass of local Pinot by the roaring fire or a coffee in the courtyard. My tip don’t forget to peruse the stock room as you just might uncover that hidden gem.
