It is known worldwide, i have taken relatives on an MCG tour and they have come from all different parts of the world and all loved it. It is unique to Melbourne, a much loved icon and has a lot of history to learn.

I was never a big footy or cricket fan however after being to both and some concerts there, the place really does ooze atmosphere! The new sports museum is a great bonus too. Well done to all of the MCG tour guides too, many older gentlemen who are tour guides really do know their facts! They also kept a non-AFL person interested for the whole tour!!

One of the best sporting arenas in the world - with the exception of Adelaide Oval. Even though it has no visual history (now that the ‘oldest’ bit of the ground dates from 1992), there is nonetheless a sense of history, given all the great sporting events that have been played out on its surface, such as the 2004 AFL premiership, won by Port.

I dont think i will ever see the same thing anywhere in the world.
this truely is a spectacular arena, with the atmosphere and excitment it creates with block buster crowds its an arena which always delivers.
With the multipurpose it can serve from Olympics, Commonwealth games, AFL, International Soccer, International Concerts and shows.
Always a great venue for a function and to take you kids/family to the Sports Museum downstairs showing all the history of Australian sport is a must do.
Growing up as a kid there will never be anything like kicking the footy on the ground after a blockbuster AFL game.

If you go here and do not visit the Olympic Museum then you have wasted your time. If you have not taken an MCG tour then you do not know the MCG

It’s the Roman Colosseum on a larger scale, its alive and vibrant. Melbourne people on view at there best and passionate. Its integrated with the rest of the city and it rocks several times a week. You cannot experience anything like the MCG anywhere else in the world. You can have wineries, Mountains, great roads, beaches, trains and museums but there is only one MCG in the world, unforgettable

Truly the best stadium in the world now even more fascinating with the newly- opened National Sports Museum. Nothing beats the excitement and atmosphere of a packed MCG!!

This was one of the first places I toured when I first moved to Melbourne. It’s reputation is worldwide and it’s presence is warrented in the top ten.
