Receive a real feel for what life was like in the Gold Rush days of early Melbourne. And the interesting and sometimes strange characters that lived in those times, as colourfuuly told by the wonderful guides that host the walks

A wonderful opportunity to learn so much about how the past has shaped the current City of Melbourne. The experience of the stories and facts of early Australia told by the professioal guides is unique.

The Golden Mile walk celebrates the Marvelous Melbourne gold rush heritage that sewed the building blocks for Melbourne and Victoria being the great place we are today. Still evidenced by buildings like Parliament House, Treasury, Old Customs House, Mint, Exhibition Buildings etc…

A walk, or walks, there are apparently two. Through Melbourne with a guide who tells you about Melbourne’s history, a lot of which I didn’t know and takes you into all sorts of buildings you wouldn’t exist. It gives a whole new view of the city. Once you have done it Melbourne is very different and much more exciting .
