We have all of our relatives interstate and whenever any visit we always take them to the zoo as it is an amazing day out which everyone absolutely loves and they all can’t wait to come back to visit us again so we can go to the zoo once more.

the upgrades at the zoo have only made it better and better. no more horrible bars and concrete cages. there is always something to do, something to see and so much fun to be had. (even for us “big kids”). seeing the smiles on everyone’s faces makes the day so much more worthwhile. melbourne zoo is a must see for everyone.

You never get bored at the Zoo no matter what your age is! You could go every year and still enjoy the animals and the grassed area’s. In addition, the Zoo has made an effort to run programs and events to suit all ages. There is always something to do. Even having a picnic in the rotunda keeps everyone happy.

Melbourne Zoo is one of the best zoo I’ve ever visited!!! Easy access to anywhere even when you have a pram with you.

Our family belongs to the Friends of the Zoo and we go every year at least once or sometimes twice.

I always take any overseas visitor to the Melbourne Zoo….

    We love the zoo!!!!

WENT WITH MY DOUGHTER, WE ENJOYED VERY MUCH. ZOO IS JUST BEAUTIFUL, LOVELY PARKS AND GOOD ENVIROMENT FOR MOST OF THE ANIMALS. EVERY TIME IS SOMETHING NEW, SOME NEW BIGGER ENCLOSER FOR ANIMALS THAT MAKES ME EVEN MORE HAPPY. I MUST SAY EXCELLENT 5 STARS WORK, MAYBE SOME ZOOS FROM EUROPE SHOULD COME TO SEE HOW THE ZOO SHOULD LOOK AND HOW THE ANIMALS SHOULD BE TREATED. WE WILL GO AGAIN IN FEW MONTHS.

Whether I’m taking along kids or adults we always have a good time at the zoo - and there’s usually some animal antic that makes us all laugh.

My earliest memories of Melbourne Zoo was riding on Queenie the big old elephant! Of course now things are different but I still love going to Melbourne Zoo and seeing how it has transformed the living conditions of the animals especially the elephants.

All 3 of Melbourne’s zoos are fantastic. It’s such a tragedy that the Victorian Government is going to destroy the Werribee Zoo with a Gold Coast style theme park. Wee need to stop this inappropriate development.

We recently visited Melbourne, travelling over from Hobart Tasmania.
Apart from the amazing shopping that Melbourne has to offer, the Royal Melbourne Zoo was definately a massive highlight to our trip.

If we could have, my partner and I would have easily spent the whole day strolling around the different animals.

We got some pretty good photos of our time at the Zoo too, which will help keep the memories alive!!

Thank You Melbourne Zoo for a fantastic time!!!!!

Melbourne Zoo has continued to raise it’s standards to showcase animals in spectacular settings enabling the young and old to experience a small sample of nature’s diversity. The Zoo is a real tourism asset for locals and visitors to Melbourne. If you haven’t been recently you MUST visit again.

Fabulous for a visit, for jazz music, for weddings, parties… It gets better every time that I drop by

But one request folks, if you can, collect cork from wine bottles for the elephants They are needed and so welcome

I took my granddaughter who is 2 years old to the zoo and we had a great time. I had not been to the zoo for several years. I was very impressed with all the changes that have been made. I cannot wait to see the marine enclosure when it is finished

The best zoo I’ve ever been to. The animals aren’t behind plexi-glass and you feel so close to them in beautiful habitats - especially the Elephant’s home. Once we saw two of the lions get into a punch on - it was awesome! Easy to get to, clean and with nice bathrooms.

Melbourne Zoo? There are three of them. Not just the Parkville site, also the Sir Colin MacKenzie Sanctuary at Healesville, an absolute must see for any foreign visitor. Free flight displays several times a day by raptors. See Peregrine Falcons, Wedge Tail Eagles, Owls, all flying out of captivity. And of course Werribee Open Plains Zoo.
