Loading ...The mouth of the Mitchell River into the Gippsland Lakes has deposited silt on either side such that the river mouth is some 5 km into the middle of the lake. Only two such features in the world. It’s an uncanny experience to stand at the mouth and yet be surrounded by the lake.
