Phillip Island is a fascinating place that all age groups can enjoy, with stunning views and such a diversity of activities available within its amazing coastal environment. Over the years I have explored many parts of the island and have thoroughly enjoyed helping students on school camp with learning experiences and outdoor challenges. The National Park environment with its flora and fauna, its accessibility, friendly people, relaxed lifestyle and quality tourist facilities make it a very special place.

We love going to Phillip Island & enjoy walks on the beach, taking in the views across Western Port to French Island & Mornington Peninsula. It has the Nobbies, Penguins, Seal watching, Koalas, Pelicans & must do is go to Churchill Island especially during the Easter Working Horse Festival where the whole family can enjoy the activities for a great day out & other times of the year you can have yummy afternoon tea or lunch on the balcony then check out the homestead & go for walks along the tracks. (take sunscreen, hat, jacket & repellant)

Phillip Island is a perfect holiday destination as it’s only about and hour & a half from Melbourne (on flat roads) Although we mainly love Phillip Island for the great beaches, we also love the fact that there is plenty to do if it rains (e.g. cinema, bowling, chocolate factory) It is the perfect beach holiday with the mod cons but still retains some of it’s daggy country feel (minus the latest Subway that was just built - yuk)

The great thing about Phillip Island is there is so much to do. If you did 3 activities per day after a week you would not cover them all. There is the maze, a number of koala viewing areas, the beaches, pubs and cafes and of cause the penguin parade to name a few. Lest hope the proposed seal rock underground access to a glass observation platform in the sea near the seals eventually gets built (proposed in the late 1990’s).
