   The scenery and natural beauty in this area is unsurpassed anywhere in my travels so far. A consistant WOW was not j;st from .me but all who we met. I loved the atmosphere in the town as well and only time constraints had me moving on from this little piece of heaven..

   Port Campbell National Park is one of Australia’s most spectacular coastlines. It’s fragile limestone sea caverned cliffs are highly volatile and prone to collapse. The narrow coastal strip contains delicate flora and fauna and bird life. This environment is easily threatened by tourist activities and should be monitored carefully and protected. Often up to 10 helicopters ply this narrow coastal strip, but it seems no environmental studies have been done on the impact on birds and fauna. Tourist accomodation should be carefully planned to complement this fragile environment and to ensure it does not impact on the environment. It would be a shame to destroy what people are coming to see.

   Port Campbell is a small coastal village set in a rare deep bay in this National Park. It needs careful planning to ensure the village character is maintained.
