A sense of unsurpassed elegance is felt as you approach this colonial period mansion following a short drive down a winding private road bordered by an orchard of olive trees and a small vineyard. Passing a lake and sporting ovals you half expect to see at the next turn carriages and the aristocracy or gentry of yesteryear.
As you enter Rupertswood mansion you can actually feel you are part of the past - a must
see attraction for all Victorians

What an amazing place to see and stay. When I walked in to Rupertswood, I was so overwhelmed by the history and beauty. My husband & I haved stayed at Rupertswood for the last 2 years and are now excited to celebrate our 20th Wedding Anniversary there in August.. It’s a wonderful atmosphere, intrigged by such a wonderful and romantic house. What can I say about the staff they are tremmenous, fabulous so friendly and, courteous and polite. Margaret who is the Manager is so welcoming, the best host who greets her guests with open arms, she is so brilliant and talented and hospitable, she makes your stay so enjoyable and relaxed. The food is marvellous and presentation is incredible. The accommodation is so pretty and it makes you feel that you are actually in the 1800’s This place is such an experience not to be missed, I would highly recommend Rupertswood Mansion for anyone. Well done to everyone who works at Rupertswood, keep up the good work, because it always a pleasure to come back just to be treated special by you guys. This place is defiantly rated number one in our eyes.

Hi there,
Rupertswood made me feel like Scarlet Ohara from “Gone with the Wind”. The period furnishings were something I just adored. I have stayed in a few lovely places in Australia but none compare to Rupertswoods with its period furnishings, grandeur and peacefulness. It was a grand place fititng those seeking a truely exceptional period experience. The food was also yummy. I have asked my huband to take me back again and again but with the lace dresses next time so I can pretend some more that I’m back in the time when Scarlet O’Hara was alive and men and women dressed with elegance. He promised he would so I am keeping him to that.

Visited Ruoertswood Mansion whilst on holiday from the Uk a couple of years ago went back again this week the place is looking even better than I remembered.
We told so many back in the Uk especially the Cricket lovers.
Who did win the Ashes back? Nothing like the poms and aussies fighting for the famous Ashes Trophy
Had a tour by the tour operators couldn’t believe how informative really enjoyed our day.

Where else in Australia can you go and visit the birthplace of the ashes I am a huge cricket fan this place deserves to do well in this poll. I was truly surprised by the beautiful home just brilliantly restored back to the 1800s amazing how the Clarke family lived wish I had a butler and lots of servants. We had a delicious lunch and the staff were friendly, attentive and very passionate about the place.
I wish you well Rupertswood you deserve to be recognised and to let others enjoy what we did on our visit I will be spreading the word and I will be back.

Having attended many functions at Rupertswood Mansion, I can honestly say that you would be hard pressed to find something as beautiful and as regal as this venue. A stay at Rupertswood is a special experience and one that takes you back to the late 1800’s.

It’s not only the beautiful and amazing atmosphere, it’s also the hospitality and sense of feeling welcome.
We first stayed at the mansion when attending a wedding, loved Margaret and Rupertswood so much I asked my ‘now husband’ to marry me from the bottom of the staircase!!!
We then took our family there for our Engagement where we all had the most amazing dinner and stayed the night and all met up for breakfast the next morning. Dad still says it’s the best steak he has ever had - and he’s had a few.
We intend to go back to Rupertswood each year for our wedding anniversary.

Rupertswood was absolutely the most perfect venue for our wedding. No request was too difficult for the manager and staff to attend to and we had countless comments back from our wedding guests as to how lovely the venue and wedding had been. I have travelled extensively around Victorias major attractions and must say that my visit to Rupertswood mansion in Sunbury was the most favulous place I have been
the history and the mansion is beautiful and I was lucky enough to enjoy a top show including a magnificent and well prepared meal
the staff and service were better than anything I have come across and it was just beautiful staying overnight and waking to a sumptuious breakfast and country stroll around the gardens this is certainly worth putting on the must do list

Beautiful piece of Victoria’s history and a glorious escape to another era. So many stories attach to Rupertswood beyond that of the Ashes legend. We particularly liked the McKay (Sunshine Harvester) story of his young man’s wish to one day own this property and that wish coming to be.

My family was fortunate enough to stay there last year for a day, we have since been back twice. In short the experience, fom a tourism point, was just A1 and the friendly hospitality of Margaret ( the manager ) was the reason for our last visit. A GREAT TOURISM EXPERIENCE WITH OLD FASHIONED SERVICE

The meals and service at Rupertswood are excellent. We have used Rupertswood’s facilities for corporate offsite meetings on several occasions and find the venue brilliant - handy to Melbourne Airport for interstate attendees and also close enough for locals to spend little travel time getting there.

I arranged a corporate function over 2 days and found the venue fabulous and also the service top rate.
All of my colleagues were very impressed with the venue and found it different and interesting and also close and easy to access from Tullamarine.
We will certainly go back and I have passed on the details to the rest of the company. Thankyou for a great stay.

Went to have a look, on Sunday for a wedding,
It was shut, but there was no hesitation with the manager giving us a tour.
She was very welcoming and warm, and did not rush us.
I believe a function held there, or staying there would be a hoot.
I think she would look after you all the way through, and you would be made to feel very special.
I would have no hesitation in recommending it. to anyone for a function.

The friendly & professional service is of the highest quality, followed by exceptional catering & silver service presentation.
The building & surrounds are kept in immaculant condition with the guided tour very impressive.
Ideal for all types of functions, or afternoon tea & would highly reccomended for families, & professional organisations or business’s, for a special treat, for your function.

Last year we celebrated a family member’s special birthday at the 7 course Degustation Dinner, with accommodation, with a group of very close friends. The meal which was stunning, was accompanied by some lively entertainment and our small group had the most wonderful evening within the Degustation Dinner event. Our party commenced with a relaxing champagne on the verandah, followed by a leisurely tour of the House and gardens, dressing for dinner in the beautiful bedrooms and suites, pre-dinner drinks and canape in the smoking room, followed by the superb dinner featuring regional food and wines, and concluded with coffee and liqueurs in one of the upstairs rooms. Our guests were thrilled with the stunning period style accommodation and facilities, and wonderful breakfast the following morning. We were very spoiled by Margaret and her staff and our weekend at Rupertswood was very special, almost unreal. We can’t praise the venue enough and would not hesitate to recommend it for special occasions.

Spent only one night, alas, in this magnificent mansion. Attended the Friday night soiree with delightful company, superb local wines and delicious tapas prepared by the charming hostess Margaret. Stayed in a suite and truly felt as if I could snap my fingers and revert to a past lifestyle. Breakfast tops the whole experience off delightfully. Everything is spot on and nothing is any trouble for the asking. It truly is a hidden gem and one that we are telling all our friends and work mates about. Can’t wait to return.

About time this place was recognized have been bringing visitors from the UK up on a number of occassions over the years must say though new management far friendlier and we now can look around the entire Mansion including the lovely accommodation rooms in the previous visits only allowed down stairs for a self guided tour the lady that took us around spent a considerable amount of time showing us areas I had not seen before which makes me love it even more. Made my overseas guests very welcome and even opened up the bar for us all to have a drink. I CAN’T BELIEVE THIS PLACE IS NOT KNOWN TO MORE PEOPLE IT IS A MUST SEE. Good luck Rupertswood I hope you get the recognition you deserve!

What a great Tourism experience to enjoy such a grand manor and the history was terrific. Stayed at Rupertswood on our way to Greek Isles so close to the airport and so much cheaper than airport hotels with a grander feel, great hospitality room lovely shame we couldn’t stay for breakfast as we had an early flight.. Have recommended to friends and family we will be back. Make it a must do visit.

Margaret,
thank you for such a wonderful and culturally stimulating experience.
What a truly beautiful place to spend the weekend. What I found amazing was the freedom. Guests are free to wonder around the upper level of the old mansion, to take in the splendour of one of the oldest buildings in Australia.
If you have any questions Margaret is always free.
Great work Margaret i will never forget this experience, I will be back in the near future.

We celebrated a friends birthday at the Gatehouse earlier this year and it was such a cosy intimate atmosphere, we were able to have a small room which made it just like home, only we had lovely friendly people waiting on us. The food and wine was wonderful and we were able to wander around the lovely gardens after our lunch. A wonderful day we all had.
I am now planning my own ‘big’ birthday party in the mansion, all my friends that I have mentioned it to have responded excitingly and put the date in their calendars. I myself am really looking forward to it, it is going to be so exciting to be able to ‘toff’ it up in such a beautiful mansion.

I have visted Rupertswood several times taking the APT Touring Club for the day, guided tour and lunch. All 48 people and myself were delighted with the experience and the food was exceptional. I have been there with our Sales Team for a day conference and again could not fault their service, food and attention to detail. We have another function happening at the end of this month that involves all the Travel Managers of the Auto Clubs. These Managers have not visited Rupertswood before and at this stage I am keeping the destination a secret. APT highly recommend this venue.

Walking in the front door seriously took my breath away. This venue screams excellence, private and personal. I went to the last degustation dinner there a few weeks ago and it was just lovely. The food, the ambiance and the staff. Margaret and the chef (Cookie) are simply divine. Would definately reccommend taking a look.

A place rich in history it is also one of my more frequent visits for wedding ceremonies, with several couples every year asking me to marry them in this historic grandeur
Wow! I loved Rupertswood Mansion. The place, the history, and the service, incredible!! I couldn’t give it a higher recommendation.
What a beautiful place, inside and out, amazing!!
Margaret, an absolute gem! I’ll be back.
It really is a lovely place to stay. The rooms, the service, the food…and the beautiful house. We would highly recommed it to anyone wanting to get away from it all. We will definately return.
I love the Mansion..inside & out!!! I love Margie!!! Right on our door step a place so warm with its beautiful surroundings that i never want to go home especially due to the fabulous food & wine & of course company. Looking forward to staying the night very soon
What a wonderful place! Enjoyed a wonderful staff function. Excellent service and outstanding food. Margie you are a star!! Love the Friday night drinks too!
we have just booked rupertswood for our wedding in may 2009, such a beautiful place, a great backdrop for our wedding, margaret was wonderful, also offers beautiful accomodation, truely breath taking!!! a must see!!!!
An absolutely stunning place in every way - splendid furnishings, professional but warm and friendly service, a must for either a romantic night or two away, or an intimate gathering - just superb! Margaret is the host of all hosts. I’ll be back!
a wonderful place to see. The staff are fantastic and make every stay an enriching and enjoyable experience. Take every opportunity to see this historical landmark. this is most definitely a place you will want to keep coming back to.
Virginia
stumbled on this place on our way to Daylesford, was most impressed the lovely lady that showed us around was extremely proud of the place and so she should .I have been the CEO of a large multi national corporaion for many years (now retired ) If this place was in Melbourne CBD it would certainly be the gentlemans club of Australia.
Suitably impressed I hope you keep the fire in ypur belly young lady you will go far!

A beatiful venue with excellent service. Highly recommended
Great venue. Margaret was fantastic helping us arrange our Luxury Night
Great spot make sure you visit
It’s just the most beautiful part of our history and under wonderful management
The Rupertswood venue is outstanding, the magnificant history and surroundings make any event spectatular. It is a most warm and welcoming environment. Top quality all the way.
the staff make this place outstanding. They are so helpful and friendly.
if i ever get married i would want to do it here!
Fantasic atmosphere, rich in history and good food.
wonderful staff.
I get excited everytime we book a Rupertswood Wedding. Having photographed many brides at the venue it still rates on the top of my list as a location that stimulates the senses and absolutely abounds in opportunities for photograhy.
Having attended many functions at Rupertswood Mansion, I can honestly say that you would be hard pressed to find something as beautiful and as regal as this venue. A stay at Rupertswood is a special experience and one that takes you back to the late 1800’s.
From the great staff to the superb food, the experience is a memorable one.
WOW what a winner, in every way - the building itself, the beautiful rooms, the excellent food, the lovely staff and hostess, the history of the place and its surroundings. A truly stunning place to experience! Worth the visit to Australia for this alone!
what a great place to stay, magical!
I have married many people at Rupertswood and have had wonderful dining experiences. The accustics for singing are sensational. The stories of the past and the history will send shivers up your spine. Rupertswood Mansion is definately not to be missed.

A great place to stay and enjoy the surroundings and food.
How proud I am that I live near this wonderful icon of history. The splendour awaits you as you walk up the stairs and just goes on from there. I love Rupertswood Mansion and have been there many times - my most recent visit was to t be wined & dined and entertained by Lisa Edwards. What a fantastic evening. Everything about the night was wonderful especially sitting in the incredible dining room and soaking in the history. I felt like royalty.
Found the property awesome - the grandeur of the building and the hospitality
Enjoyed ambience , food ,accomodation and friendly staff. Will recommend to others and will return for another stay.
Rupertswood is absolutely beautiful. Exquisite mansion and facilities and the hosts are the best ever. It would be the most wonderful place for any wedding or function - I know it is definitely on my list
A beautiful job has been done restroing this gracious mansion. We had a delicious meal there and had a tour of the rooms. They are luxuriously comfortable and grand. The history is fascinating !
beautifully restored, an ambience never before experienced!
Have visited Rupertswood Mansion many times in recent years. It is such a spectacular building - it ‘feels’ great. Hospitality of staff and dining experiences have been terrific. Haven’t been lucky enough to stay, but I have inspected the accomodation and they are first rate.
A beautifully maintained historic mansion set in wonderful grounds. And the meals are delicious!
I was invited to attend a freinds wedding at this venue and was in awe of this fabulous building. Such splendour. The whole event was wonderful. The food kept coming and coming and was so delecious. I give this venue 5 stars and would have any special event held there.
Our very own Aussie Castle with all the trimmings, class and unique history of
Australia so that you can LIVE the experience :all 45mins from the City.
Went to Peter & Margaret’s fabulous wedding and Pete’s 60th Birthday Karaoke cocktail party in the evening.Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and commented on what a beautiful place Rupertswood is! Also the food and atmosphere was great.
A wonderful place - a sense of history, of elegance, or graciousness. A chance to be real ‘ladies and gentlemen’ for an evening. The calendar of events is a ‘must’, as there are great guest appearances. Food to die for, especially their special dinners.
Got married there on Saturday and held a birthday party in the evening. It was absolutely magnificent. The presentation and service are a credit to the management. The food was excellent and the period accommodation very
impressive. A most wonderful day was enjoyed by all. We will be going there again soon to be spoilt by Margaret and her friendly staff.
Attended a wedding at the week end. I beleive it was one of the best places that I have every been to, Great place, food excellent. Staff very friendly. Beautiful Old place with great surrounds.
this place rocks. Margaret is the best. See you again soon.
i went to a wedding last week and I found the staff were very friendly and the food was execellent.
I love visiting the mansion listening to the history behind it and seeing the Battery of Horse Artillery do their stuff. A lovely venue for any function.
A visit to the “Bithplace of the Ashes” never disappoints. Fine food and wine, outstanding customer service, and Rupertswood Mansion itself is breathtakingly beautiful. We just keep coming back…
Attended a wedding at the week end. I beleive it was one of the best venues that I have every been to, Lovely place, food excellent. Staff very friendly. Beautiful place. Very interesting History surrounding the mansion.
Always look forward to visiting the mansion. Service is excellent and the atmosphere is relaxing. A great trip for interstaters and overseas visitors.
Travelled down from lovely, warm Queensland last week-end. Missed the wedding but thoroughly enjoyed the 60th birthday party, the overnight stay and beautiful breakfast. Even through a fire emergency the staff were impeccable and made us feel so welcome. The mansion is absolutely fabulous and superbly managed. Just a shame about the weather outside!
Love the place! Make sure you visit the original stained glass windows are the best I have ever seen.
I attended a wedding and a 60th on a cold, blustery Saturday, but inside was warm and cosy. Staff were efficient, friendly and helpful. Food was superb. Ladies - check out the ladies lounge - wonderful.
Attended a wedding on the weekend and found everything, location, mansion(itself), historical information, food of an extremely hight standard.
Myself and three friends thoroughly enjoyed our Christmas in July. The food was delicious (the ham was magnificent and the custard was lusciously thick, rich and creamy). Even though a fire had occurred the night before, our experience was very friendly and attentive staff.
We had a wonderful Christmas in July the day after an emegency situation had kept the staff up all night. They were completely unflappable. The food was magnificent and the building is stunning. What is most memorable is how friendly and accessable this place is to the general public. Just read the other comments. After our experience I am sure that they are 100% true.
Keep up the good work and we will be back for more.
A terrific place and the management and staff are very friendly and helpful.
The home of the Ashes! What more can I say! Well done Rupo!
Had a wonderful anniversary thanks to Margaret and her marvellous staff. Will be back for my wedding
Rupertswood is not only the Home of the Ashes but also an historic mansion displaying the lifestyle of the 19th Cent Victoirian “squattocracy” as well as a wonderful accomodation site from which to visit local wineries, Mt. Macedon and Hanging Rock. What more do you want?
I’ve travelled the world stayed many beautiful and expensive places. This place is the best. Everything from personal, happy, friendly staff and service. An absolute must specially for international visitors to who you want to show off a special part of Australia.
Well done to Margaret and her amazing team. Look forward to seeing you all again.
Sunbury is very lucky to have such a great historical building, it is well decorated and restored and the catering is fabulious.
Rupertswood is an absolute gem for anyone seeking a tranquil pampered stay close to Melbourne. The mansion is magnificent. The rooms have a wonderful “old world” ambience and the hosts, Margaret and Peter, are charming and professional to the extreme.
A beautiful place, managed by beautiful people, my wedding was the most amazing day of my life and I could not have wished for a better venue. The food was wonderful and the customer service was exceptional!!!
Has to be the world’s best kept secret this place oozes style, class, great food, service to die for Gordon Ramsey you would hate it!
He would not find too much to moan about……. in a nutshell as Gorden would say ……………… F###### Brilliant! keep the good work going Margaret you gave up a lot to take on this project but you are the best thing that has ever happened to Rupertswood and Sunbutry.

As soon as you approach the Mansion along the gravel drive way you are immediately taken back in time. Walk through the doors and you can only imagine what it must have been like to call this place home. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the functions exceed all expectations. Love it.
Love it, love it l,ove it!
Just love old buildings this one is the best. We are so fortunate to have such a grand manor here in Victoria, they let us share the beauty of it not like most mansions very welcoming and informate of the history and restoration. We don’t have too many old places here in Australia never mind Victoria. Make sure you visit you wont be dissapointed

Went to school at Salesian College was always amazed by the place we are now hoping to organise our wedding there so beautiful and after reading all the comments makes me feel even more confident about the place. Keep up the great work Rupo.

Beautiful place, can’t wait for this year’s Christmas function there!
So nice to be surrounded by old fashioned luxury with all the finishing touches.
The food is incredible.
I have been to several functions at rupertswood, it was fantastic
Quite simply…there’s just no place like Rupertswood!
Love the mansion, love Margaret. Everyone should experience this place at least once in their lives. You’ll never regret it.
It’s Exhaustic, Warm, Historic place you can call home for the weekend.
Absolutely love it.

Loved the wisteria draped verandah Classic music playing as we entered it was like going back in time I felt like a princess. We stayed in the butlers room was waiting for a bell to ring to summon us just lovely.
Wish we could have stayed in the big suite was shown by the staff next morning very impressive, but we liked our room just as much. We walked down to the lake and feed the ducks to walk off the huge breakfast. You must visit when you get the chance visit this beautiful mansion I can’t wait to go back.
What a lovely old home couldn’t believe the history and being birthplace of the ashes my partner was excitied. We had a lovely look through loved the cellar a must visit.
We will be back and have told many about the friendly, well restored place.
Being a huge cricket fan went to Rupertswood on a bus tour we were greeted by a friendly woman who showed us around and also gave us all cold drinks as it was a hot day and didnt charge us, where do you get that these days you even have to pay for water. I told friends and family what a top spot. Have since been back for the Jazz afternoons. Keep doing what your doing Rupertswood you will hit the big time.
About time this great place was placed on the BIG time site it is a great place the owners do a great job all visitors are made to feel extremely welcome a great tourism & History experience. Good Luck Rupertswood you deserve the recognition. One of your many ambassadors

Took our overseas guests mad cricket fans can’t believe we have such a beautiful place that is accessible a must see
what a great piece of Australian History didn’t know it exsisted will be back!
Rupertswood was absolutely the most perfect venue for our wedding. No request was too difficult for the manager and staff to attend to and we had countless comments back from our wedding guests as to how lovely the venue and wedding had been. From the magnificent stained glass windows as a fabulous backdrop for our ceremony, to the food and the accommodation - everything was A++. We have no hesitation in recommending Rupertswood for any special occation, or just simply for a wonderful lunch or dinner.
Hi
I have travelled extensively around Victorias major attractions and must say that my visit to Rupertswood mansion in Sunbury was the most favulous place I have been
the history and the mansion is beautiful and I was lucky enough to enjoy a top show including a magnificent and well prepared meal
the staff and service were better than anything I have come across and it was just beautiful staying overnight and waking to a sumptuious breakfast and country stroll around the gardens this is certainly worth putting on the must do list
kind regards Faye Young
WOWEEE!! What a magical experience. The Mansion was absolutly gorgous, followed by a 5 star meal, my evening and stay at the Rupertswood Mansion was an experience one shall never forget. A big thanks to Magaret and all the staff at the Mansion for making our time a sensation. A BIG TWO THUMBS UP!!!
Beautiful piece of Victoria’s history and a glorious escape to another era. So many stories attach to Rupertswood beyond that of the Ashes legend. We particularly liked the McKay (Sunshine Harvester) story of his young man’s wish to one day own this property and that wish coming to be.
My experience at Rupertswood was made all the more enjoyable as a direct result of the wonderful hospitality my family and I were extended by the ever sensational “Mags” the Manager of the Mansion. We will always remember the fun and laughs we had and the fabulous service we were provided - we eagerly look forward to returning again and again!
Great food, great service, great ambience, great venue. great tour, great history
Want to know more, check it out yourself you will luv it!!
cheers
Ross
My family was fortunate enough to stay there last year for a day, we have since been back twice. In short the experience, fom a tourism point, was just A1 and the friendly hospitality of Margaret ( the manager ) was the reason for our last visit. A GREAT TOURISM EXPERIENCE WITH OLD FASHIONED SERVICE
Mario Mattioli
It was a fantastic experience staying at the mansion. Margaret and her staff are so wonderful and hospitable which made the stay even more pleasureable! We enjoyed celebrating a friends 40th in absolute style! The dinner and breakfast was excellent, it is a beautiful mansion, set in the most wonderful surroundings. Will definitely be going back to experience it again!
A place rich in history, from the Gatehouse Cafe, the history just unfolds in front of you. Enjoy the unique accommodation, wonderful food and a great host. The venue is ideal for social events, special dinners, weddings and small meetings and conferences.
We had a spectacular wedding day day at Rupertswood last year.
The service was impeccable, the food outstanding and our accomodation was flawless.
Our day was unforgettable and the staff should be commended.
I have been to Rupertswood a few times and each time it gets better. The venue and the people are fantastic. The mansion has been restored to its former glory and it really is worth going to check it out.
Absolutely had a great night with friends. We thoroughly enjoyed the service and hospitality given to us.We were treated like kings and queens.
Memory will be with us forever
Thankyou Rupertswood
Old world elegance. Attended for a private dinner and had an amazing meal in an amazing setting and enjoyed amazing service. In a word AMAZING!!!
A must see for all occasions, the mansion is outstanding. Supperb rooms and decor`. The service we have received form Margaret and the staff at the mansion has been fantastic. 5 Star rating
It is amazing,
the history of the place was rather interesting,
the service is brilliant,

Margaret the host, was so nice and caring and made my stay ever so pleasant
5 stars, highly recomended
Rupertswood is one of the star locations in Victoria, possibly even the world. With immaculate food preparation and friendly and effective staff, this is one place Australia can truly be proud of. Well done, Rupertswood
Rupertswood is a truly unique venue - intimate yet spaceous, opulent yet not ostentatious. Highly recommend to all my clients for their conferences and events!
We had a night we shall never forget. The food was to die for. Service was so friendly and we felt as relaxed as if we were at home and part of the Rupertswood family. We will be back VERY soon, would be fantastic for a murder mystery evening!!!
Lovely home, great history, superb service and the owner Margret made us feel so welcome.
We will always consider Rupertswood our home away from home.
A special place we will always return to again and again.
went to Chocolate Indulgence day still full up! What a grand buffett a great spot went to other places for high tea etc with my mother none s good as this.
Great piece of history well worth a visit
It’s a wondweful place to visit and stay. It has old world charm, the restoration of the rooms are beautiful and the hostest Marg the best in the business. If you travel South it’s a must visit. All the best Rupertswood! Well done!!! I’ll see you again soon.

A great place any time of year, a true representation of Sunburys historical past which has been preserved thanks to the efforts of many. A fantastic venue for any function and with all modern conveniences. Beautiful settings , and all just 40 mins from the CBD.
My husband and i got married at Rupertswood. We had our ceremony, drinks, photo’s and reception all at Rupertswood. And to cap it all off we hired all of the rooms and had our family and friends stay with us for the night followed with an amazing breakfast together. What an amazing weekend. A five star experience!
Me and my partner recently were at the mansion for the Friday night soiree`. The food was superb, especially the salt & pepper calamari, turkish bread and homemade dips were delicious. Will definetly be venturing to this magnificant venue in the not-too-distant future.
I have worked at Rupertswood for over a year now and it has been a very rewarding and enjoyable time. It is definetly a very well hidden treasure in the heart of Victoria.
I think the cellar is fabulous! We felt secluded and exclusive, the slight chill of the cellar added to the experience! ghost stories and all things spooky made this night spectacular!!! Also a special mention to Cindy, Kirsty and Steve who are execptional in what they do!!
We have had our work christmas party and birthday parties at the Mansion. A fabulous experience and we will come again and again. The staff are fabulous and the service wonderful. The occasion can be as low key or as elaborate as you choose. The mystery and history of the place can create many a memorable ghost story………..
A very romantic place, perfect for intimate weddings and private dinners. beautiful decor and attentive yet discrete staff.
What a special place great to visit. The staff great and food to die for!
I recently went on a tour of the mansion, and I was utterly impressed with the grandeur of this place. I found out some of the history, and information on the accommadation and the private dinners that are held there on a weekly basis.
I subsequently made a booking for my up coming wedding anniversary.
I had the pleasure of attending a wedding at Rupertswood Mansion recently. We had a wonderful time & so rich in history that we almost forgot we were at a wedding because we were so busy looking around at the memorabilia!!!
Food & service were A1!!!
Highly recommended.
Old world charm. Made to feel so welcome and relaxed by hostess and staff.
Attended a 40th birthday party and stayed overnight, lovely rooms and great food.
Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!
Excellent Venue. Fantastic!!
Margaret,
thank you for such a wonderful and culturally stimulating experience.
What a beautiful destination! I can’t wait to experience Rupertswood on my wedding day in less than 2 weeks. The staff have gone way beyond their duty in providing us with fantastic service leading up to the Day. The Mansion has an elegance and charm unique to historical properties and will be the perfect venue for our Wedding. Sunbury can be truly proud of this heritage.

The devine Miss McLelland is the pinnacle of perfection’s aspirations to mine hosting. I have been all around the world. Upon becoming bedazzled by the romance of Rupertswood - I shall never leave this blessed corner of Australia.

Fantastic setting to meet with friends on the balcony for drinks, gourmet snacks and a mental wind down after a long week at work.
This magnificent venue has it all.An amazing experience walking through the superbly maintained period rooms, and furniture that is just priceless.Food and service at Rupertswood leaves similar function centres for dead, and the staff make you feel at home from the moment you walk through the door. Well worth the visit!!

What a wonderful amazing place of our history, my mother and i attended the Pavarotti concert at the mansion and it was a day we will never forget as the food was superb the attmosphere was wonderful and the service provided by Margaret was so excellent towards looking after myself and my mother, we would most deffinatly go back to have a private dinner there or to see another amazing concert.
Great party place….food was magnificent……and only a short walk up the stairs to go to your room after too much wine…not to mention the staff, very hospitable and welcoming
Time this well kept secret hit the big time.
The Mansion is magnificent and the staff cannot do enough for you….so friendly.
We had my wifes 40th Birthday here and what a fun time we had!!! Our host (margaret) made all our guests feel soooo welcome they did not want to leave! Maragaret is an attention to detail person, who made the evening PERFECT. Alot of us ended up staying the night in this mansion filled with a plethora of period features and woke up to a magnificent country cooked breakfast. This is a must experience for any occassion.

The House is amazing with wonderful gilt Victorian decoration, tiled floors, wonderful furnishings and loads of memorabilia including cricket history of the first home of the Ashes the first match being played here.
A must to relive the old Victorian splendour of the 1800’s

Our every need was taken care of and I felt like a princess. Margaret and her team are wonderful, I can’t thank them enough for making our wedding the amazing experience that it was.
I have booked an entire wedding experience at Rupertswood for my wedding this October. The bridal party will be staying at the mansion and the ceremony and reception will both take place on site. It is a stunning building in a peaceful location. The staff that I have dealt with to date have been extremely lovely and happy to help at any time in any way that they can. I would definitely recommend Rupertswood for its fantastic and attentive service and very friendly staff.
I have never quite ‘felt’ history come alive, and a sense of magic, as I did on my first visit to Rupertswood Mansion. Highly recommended.

A place rich in history it is also one of my more frequent visits for wedding ceremonies, with several couples every year asking me to marry them in this historic grandeur
