Victoria has a wealth of waterways for people to paddle, especially the coastal areas and enclosed waters, including: Port Phillip Bay; Westernport Bay; the Gippsland Lakes; Lake Tyers; and Mallacoota Inlet.
There are many different areas and vistas available to paddle, catering for the different skill levels of paddlers. Other than getting fit and enjoying the outdoors, people can also fish, scuba dive, or take photos of nature from their kayak.
People can paddle privately such as in a Canoe Club or commercially with one of the many operators.
