   Great place to unwind , have a feed and a few beers. The adventure is just getting there.

   Craigs Hut is situated in the High Country, a 1.5 hour drive from Mansfield and Mt Buller.
   The view is simply awe-inspiring and the immenseness of the High Country makes all your day to day problems seem very small. The hut started life as a film set for the Man from Snowy River movie. Today, over 80,000 visitors annually are testament to why a visit to Craigs Hut is a must do.

   Craig’s Hut is not only about the beauty of the high country but also what it represents in terms of our heritage, the ways of our ancestors, our film industry and also our battles with bushfires.

   Grandeur. Nature’s awesome splendiferous beauty! Let the fog rise up from the valleys below and the gentle breeze be at your back. A pristine sparkling star banquet will gently present itself on the tablecoth of evening. Can you hear the gentle whinny of the “colt from Old Regret” on the whafting breeze? Get lost in the moment.

   Sunset at Craig’s Hut is just magical!! Its like sitting on top of the world - just spectacular.

   The most special place to watch Sunset, top of the world, isolated, the true Man From snowy River experience direct from the porch of Craigs Hut. Be Jim Craig for the day!!

   I have lived in the mansfield area for 18yrs and never seen craig’s hut, everytime we plan to go something has stopped us recently it burnt down.

   Sipping a cold glass of bubbly while sitting on the verandah of Craigs Hut and watching the sunset over one the most spectacular views to be seen in Victoria is on the top of my list of things to do because I feel on top of the world and feel a part of our Mountain men heritage. I feel that I have become one of the people who opened up our high country and made it available for us all to experience
