A great place to call in for a wonderful meal and glass of local wine while visiting the Macedon Ranges region. The open fires and ambience capture the cool country feeling of the village. And it is so close to Melbourne by car and train!

    Living in Woodend I can without doubt recommend the Victoria Hotel, it has a fantastic restaurant with super friendly staff. It is the only place I know ofd that openly welcomes children and the kids have an almost sound proofed visible play area from restaurant tables so it is a great place to eat for families and also for couples too, it has a great open fire and awesome local wines etc etc. Nothing like this exists nearby thats worth going to, if you are local you will know about it and if you from the city then you would of heard of Woodends popularity. Awesome town and awesom hotel. Perfect blend. Dave C
