65 main

Beautiful bed & breakfast in Hepburn Springs. With a fantastic host Christine who whips up the best country breakfast, using local produce & who gives you great advise on where to go & what to eat. The house is homely, with wonderful rooms, cleverly named after wine. You can have a game of pool, watch TV & DVD’s & has all the things you need for a comforty get away.

Last month my husband and I celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary at 65 Main. It was a present from our son Steve and his wife Nina. It is the ideal place for a R. & R. break. Our host Christine is a delightful host and made us very welcome. We enjoyed the breakfasts in the beautiful dining room, and also enjoyed browsing in the library, and relaxing and chatting to the other guests. I would highly recommend 65 Main.

An informative but not intrusive hostess who didn’t throw my scrambled eggs at me when I mentioned my numerous allergies! An extremely enjoyable stay and top marks to Christine and her partner for their superb decorating style.

My daughters and I have stayed at 65 Main twice now. We love the warm and friendly atmosphere and the little extras provided. Christine obviously loves running this B & B and she is full of helpful advice on where to eat, shop, be pampered and everything else that you could possibly want and takes the time to get to know you and make your stay as relaxing and restful as possible. We loved the open fire, the scented candles and the fantastic breakfast. We will definitely be back next year.

If we could we would of stayed longer. Thanks Christine.

We stayed at 65main as a present from a guest at our recent wedding. What a qaint and gorgeous b&b! The rooms are great, the lounge area most entertaining with a billard table and some mood music and the breakfast is truly amazing. It is located in the heart of Hepburn Springs which made it ideal for us to have a couple of wines at a local restaurant in town, without having to worry about taking the car. Christine the host was just lovely. She gave us great touring tips around the local area and we found the most amazing boutique winery to spend the afternoon at! It was a fabulous experience all round! We highly recommend 65main for a romantic getaway!

My sisters and I, have repeatedly stayed at 65 Main for our annual sister’s getaway. 65 Main gives you enough privacy to do your own thing whilst at the same time creating a warmth that inevitable gets guests to chat and interact at the breakfast table.

65 Main is in walking distance to everything needed for an indulgent weekend. You can literally walk to great lunch and dinner spots as well as to Peppers for a pamper package.

Christine is a fantastic host and will give you a great list of places to visit if you haven’t visited the area before. I would definitely recommend staying at 65 Main.

We could not recommend 65 Main and especially Christine high enough. Staggeringly better than any hotel accommodation one could wish to find, Christine’s personal touch will add immeasurably to your stay in the region. Lovely ammenities, superb food and a personal touch you’ll go a long way to beat…

Christine is so welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. She takes the time to understand exactly what you are looking for out of a break in Daylesford/Hepburn Springs and tailors your stay accordingly. All her suggestions for dinner out were perfect and she is clearly well known and respected in the area. I couldn’t recommend 65 Main more highly, and will definitely be returning.

We have had fantastic girls weekends away at 65Main. Christine is so helpful in organisining the in house massages, palm readings and helping all us mums to unwind with a glass of wine & lovely platter on our arrival. We stayed at 65 Main for a couple of nights as a mid-week getaway from Melbourne. I booked the B&B as a birthday surprise and it exceeded both our expectations! Christine was very helpful, suggesting and booking dinner at a fantastic local restaurant, as well as an indulgent spa retreat experience for us. We also had a visit from a local masseur who gave us an in-house treatment as organised by Christine.
65 Main itself is a very well presented, funky (and doily-free) B&B with plenty of room to relax and enjoy the beautiful local surroundings. Enough has probably been said about the amazing breakfasts that Christine prepares each morning….it’s all true. Simply scrumptious!

65 Main is an extremely pleasant place to stay, unwind and relax. I particularly liked the fact that I was not merely confined to my “guest room”. I could go down stairs and select ( depending on my frame of mind) any one of the 4 “lounge / reading/ recreation areas”. Each of these areas had a unique character, and all were comfortable and tastfully decorated.

Although I had my own reading material, the literature provided for the guests was thoughtfully selected and extremely enticing

Christine was an exceptional host, she made us feel extremely welcome from the initial contact to the final farwell.

I appreciated the genuine enthusiasm she displayed for sharing her “local knowledge” in an effort to “tailor -make” local experiences for individual guests.

I would hightly recomment “65 Main” to my family and friends.

What a lovely birthday present I got this year: 2 nights at 65 Main! We enjoyed every minute: a hearty welcome by the lovely lady Christine! She showed us the beautiful rooms, enquired what we wanted to do and showed us everything on a map. The breakfast was mouthwatering, especially the very thin pancakes, she even gave me the recipy! She really knows when to be ‘available’ abnd when to give space…she has amazing recommendations and a breakfast that is better that most in the area! Our second time there over a year later and she remembered us, and thats exactly the refreshing outlook you appreciate when away for a relaxing weekend. 65 Main is jut a lovely place, we’ll be back for sure.

Have been staying at 65 Main for almost 7 years. Why stay anywhere else when you’ve picked a winner. Christine has always been accomodating, always has new suggestions for outings given that my girlfriends and I make a trip to up there minimum once a year. Whenever asked about where to stay when in the area, I only have one recommendation, if they don’t want to be disappointed. Thats to stay at 65 Main. Being close to restaurants and entertainment, is an added bonus. And you can’t go past her breakfast. Made from only the best of the best.

65 Main is a warm and welcoming B and B in hepburn Springs. Christine goes out of her way to make you feel at home. We had everything we could possibly want to make our weekend peaceful and relaxing. the country side is beautiful with plenty to do and a warm fire and confortable charis to enjoy a galss of winein the evening. So much better than a hotl where you can only sit in your bedroom. The breakfast was great all local produce which is good. We loved it.

Our family took up all the rooms in the B & B — it was a home away from home but with added extra’s like a warm welcoming host — fabulous cooked breakfast — a well explained guide to local places of interest — helpful hints when needed — inviting decor & intriguing art work — the Massage Christine organized for us with Tim was the best I have ever had — we all had a great time! Would go back there in a minute!

65 Main was a breath of fresh air compared to other B&B’s I have visited. I love their doily free policy and the way they have set up the whole place to be young, vibrant and funky, even though the building itself is quite old. Christine was ever so friendly and helpful with pointing out a handful of recommended tourist spots, as well as restaurants in the area. The massage we received down the road was just what we needed too! 65 Main is somewhere we definitely plan on visiting again sometime soon.

To be honest with you, i have never stayed at a B&B before. That was until i stayed at 65 Main in Hepburn Springs. The entire time i was there went way to fast. Christine cooks an amazing breakfast…So after a very crazy working week to have some cook an amazing breakfast for you was a delight. Apart from the amazing breekie. Christine is a wealth of knowledge on the area, and guides you on some of the must see attractions. You are also free to come and go as you please, enjoy some ME time or have a chat to the other guests that are staying also. Main 65 will be a B&B that i will always stay at when i am in the area…Thanks Christne, you have changed my mind about B&B’s forever…..KT

A warm and welcoming environment where the feeling is one of “sit back, relax and take it easy” from the moment you walk through the front door. And the easy access to local amenities (walks, massage, restaurants, good coffee) and Christine’s accurate and helpful advice just enhanced the pleasure of our stay.

My niece and I had our best annual girls’ away weekend at 65 Main in July this year.

Christine’s attention to detail and her imput to make sure we made the most of our short time in the area was vital in making our 2 days just what we hoped for. We received a gift certificate for our wedding in Mar 07 for 3 night stay at 65 main. They were the most relaxing and enjoyable 3 days we could have imagined – gourmet food, spa treatments and gallery tickets all teamed with the insight of local knowledge from Christine. Since then we visit a few times a year and always enjoy exploring our old favourites and chatting to Christine about what is new in town. The breakfasts at 65 main are divine, the rooms are tasteful and the atmosphere is extremely relaxing! We love visiting as often as we can and highly recommend staying at 65 main.

My husband & I stayed at 65 Main in Hepburn Springs for 2 nights. We had such a wonderful time. The location of our accommodation was perfect with a very homely atmosphere . Our host Christine is lovely with such a cheerful personality. Her knowledge of the area is amazing & she is always there to help you plan your day or to organise for you a totally relaxing massage. Together with good food, good wine & beautiful relaxing places to visit our only downfall was that we wished we could have stayed for a few more days.

Prime location for eating out, and the view is beautiful. Oh and the champagne on arrival just to get the weekend started, breakfast exquisite and the inhouse massage to die for. Can,t wait for next Mothers Day at 65 Main

65 Main is my idea of the perfect B&B. Smack in the middle of a picturesque village, with cafes and pubs and restaurants within easy staggering distance. Beds are comfortable, the decor vital and interesting and Christine is a fabulous host. I’d recommend it to anyone.

Funky surroundings and pleasant hostess; all adding up to a fantastic place to relax and chill out. Christine’s breakfasts and just scrumptious – worth staying just to experience a breakfast.

What a fantastic B&B!!! I am so grateful that we have a passionate person like Christine at the helm of her business. She ensures that her guests have a Hepburn/Daylesford experience from beginning to end. As a business operator in daylesford I am always impressed with Christine’s “hands on” approach to her hospitality. She shares her guests and sends them to businesses throughout the shire. Wish we had more 65 Main’s and more Christine’s!!!

I have not stayed at No 65 but in conversation with my guests over dinner at Lucini’s Historic Pasta Restaurant opposite, I have received heaps of feedback. Never a negative comment. Nothing but praise, praise and more praise. I have no hesitation in recommending No 65 to any guests who are heding into town. Congratulations Christine.

65 Main has been voted by my family of 5 siblings and partners as our best family reunion weekend ever with the luxury of a 5 star breakfast cooked by amazing Christine every morning (the placemats provided livley conversation and lots of laughs) and a gorgeous home to relax and play in.

Christine has an excellent knowlege of local events and attractions and while we usually try to stay at a different location each year the breakfasts and Christines gorgeous home are too tempting and we will return to 65 main.

65 Main has a very rare quality. It’s more than the feeling you get from sitting back on the private balcony overlooking tree covered mountains, more than soaking in the afternoon sun and crisp clean air.

There’s an ambience that’s built above the memorable setting and cemented by helpful yet unobtrusive hosts. The 65 Main experience reminds you how life is meant to be. It’s rare to get that feeling, and rarer still for that complete relaxation to set in immediately.

I confidently recommend the 65 Main experience in Daylesford Victoria.

65 Main…Where do I start?! One of the most relaxing and pampered experiences of my life. Christine is the host with the most, and passes on her extensive experience of her region to every guest, ensuring that they have an individualized and memorable experience. Christine is likely to win next years Master Chef, as her food is absolutely first class.

The experience is remarkable and every guest benefits from the passion and joy Christine obviously has for her business.

Forget the bigger ‘exclusive’ accommodation in the area, you will never receive service, attention and such a beautiful REJUVENATING experience as what you get at 65 Main. I should know, its the only place I choose to stay when I want a weekend away in Spa Country.

    65Main is a superb B&B!
It is my B&B of choice when I go to Hepburn & Daylesford, as the beds are divine , the house has a warm & fun atmosphere, breakfast are to die for and Christine is just a wonderful host. On our last visit Christine organised spa treatments for myself and my husband followed by lunch at the Lakehouse – it was just a magical weekend away! I would recommend this B&B to everyone.

65 Main is my favourite obsession. I established this ‘doily-free’ guesthouse which is termed as ‘the B&B with TLC’. It is a bright big heritage house with lots of special touches and a casual vibe.

When visitors indulge in a 65 Main getaway they will be offered a daily breakfast of local produce (Istra Bacon, Daylesford Organic Eggs, Country Cusine Preserves, Otoole Honey and more…). The special touches may be candles, lollies, Janey Bee handmade truffles, Daylesford Aromatherapy handmade soap, Convent Gallery tickets, Lake House lunch, Peppers Mineral Spa, Hepburn Bathhouse & Spa entry and a variety of treats which are tailored to suit the desires & budget of my visitor.

I think 65 Main is a great place to STAY and PLAY…. hope to see you here one day.

    Cheers
