Our stay was only short – over night – but it was long enough to know that this is a special place and one we must return to soon…

‘A Room with A View B&B’ will forever be part of one of the happiest moments of my life – it was here that my partner and I got engaged! The world class views, fantastic friendly service and special extra touches made this unforgettable weekend even more magical. Thank you ‘ A Room with A View B&B’!

We had 2 nights in Room with a View as an engagement present and couldn’t have asked for a better weekend away – koalas in the trees, spectacular views of the rugged coastline, a spa bath in which we could have fit our entire wedding party, the magnificent Otway Ranges in the backgarden, and delicious breakfasts brought to the door.

If you have to choose just one place to stay in Victoria, Room With a View is it!

I have stayed at ROOM WITH A VIEW twice, and on both occasions received a very warm welcome. The aspect of the B&B is breath taking. Our requests were never too much trouble; even those that were a little outside the normal call of duty (Great Vic Bike Ride pickups and drop-offs!). We were particularly impressed with the room service, including evening meals of true gourmet standard – memorable food. Every need was met, whilst our privacy was respected. A truely marvelous place in every way.

Its the kind of place that makes you wanna leave the city, buy a place like the owner here did and build yourself a home here… or even another B&B.
The location is great. The hosts are wonderful, iniviting, warm people. The accomodation itself is fantastic. What’s better than waking up and seeing the views of the ocean from your bed…

I love this place for just too many reasons to put down.
We’ve stayed so many times and will continue to do so although I think we need to stop recommending it as it is getting harder to get a booking.

It’s hard to know where to start…. only a Jane Austen could find the right words to describe the experience. Everything from the view to the food and service was just first class. We had such a wonderful, relaxing time and can’t wait to be able to do it all again.
See you in the New Year!

Breathtaking. Rejuvenating. Tranquillity. These words best describe room with a view. This retreat is somewhere to relax and forget the day to day rush of everyday life. As you step outside the walls of the comfortable cabins you are surrounded by nature at is finest, from the lush green grass to the deep blue ocean you feel totally excluded from the world outside. Room with a view provides a tasty breakfast to enjoy whilst sitting back embracing this surrounding beauty. The welcoming hosts Angelika and Gary Millar are professional and in no way intrusive during your stay. I would highly recommend room with a view to anyone looking for time away from their day to day lives.

On our trip from Melbourne to Adelaide we stayed two nights at this fantastic b&b. We tremendously enjoyed the breath taking views, the peaceful tranquility, the hospitality of our hosts and the comfort of our room. Definitely thumb up or as they say “worth a detour”… Stay here on your trip down the Great Ocean Road but book early!

A great experience and one of the more memorable stops during our 3 weeks in Australia! Listening to the birds, seeing a rainbow coming in off the ocean after a quick rain shower, and of course the superb breakfast! Thank you Angelika for your recommendations on hiking. We had a blast!

A Room with a View is exactly what it suggests… My boyfriend and I spent our first anniversary there, and had a weekend that will be very hard to live up to! We’re now engaged, and I cannot wait for a chance to go back and wake up to that breathtaking vista, complemented in no small way by one of Angelika’s AMAZING chocolate croissants! The best part about the place, apart from the incredibly warm hospitality, is that it is dog-friendly- our little dog had a wonderful time as well! Couldn’t recommend it more highly.

We surprised friends, who were visiting from the Netherlands, with a weekend away at “A Room with a View” . Driving along the Great Ocean Road was amazing and then to arrive at this gorgeous spot with its superb view – they were gobsmacked. The accomodation was first class, so was the service – breakfast was YUMMY! We hope to make it back there one day.

A room with a view was the perfect romantic and relaxing getaway we needed 4 our 1st weekend away without baby. The breakfast was delicous, the view was amazing and loved seeing and hearing the birds and horse, close 2 waterfalls and lovley restaurants in apollo bay. We were very impressed with the affordability and comfort of A room with a view. Looking forward 2 coming back lots more.

The wife and I were looking for a secluded weekend away and we couldn’t have wished for better. We stayed there two nights and each morning we woke to the sounds of rosellas and the ocean waves crashing. Not only are you treated to spectacular views but also to some of Australias colourful wildlife with rosellas and cockatoos. The large windows in the bedroom and living area displayed a perfect view of nature at its finest. In the evening a nice relaxing spa bath made for the end to very relaxing days. Although secluded in location, it is not remote with Apollo Bay a leisurely 15 minute drive with some great restaurants and of course the beach. It is definitely the finest place we have stayed in Australia and look forward to revisiting it in the future. It’s a slice of paradise just off the beaten track.

good food bought from Vic market on the way through; great wine from the Yarra Valley; my best friend, my wife of 30 years, all made complete by a long weekend at A room with a view; stunning views; tranquil setting; wonderful warm & generous hosts; a short hop into Apollo Bay during the day, but make sure you are back in time to take in the twilight. Oh, & the breakfasts, well, they are something else again

The views are fantastic, you are immersed in them due to the generously sized glass windows looking out over green fields and trees down to the ocean. Angelika and Gary are lovely and unobtrusive hosts, their breakfasts are delicious, and there was even a bonus wildlife experience for us city folks, a sleep koala in the tree out the back.

My wife and I arrived at night under a sky full of stars and checked into our very spacious and comfortable room. We had no idea what the surroundings would look light in daylight. When we arose the next morning, what a breathtaking view awaited us from the large picture windows all across the back, facing the sea. Had we not had a plane to catch, we would have enjoyed wandering the lush grounds and taking in the beautiful vistas. Room With A View B&B will definitely be on our priority list of places to stay if (when!) we return to Australia and the Great Ocean Road!
