blue johanna cottages

The cottages are on the south coast near Lavers Hill. The ocean views from the living area are great, an eagle’s eyrie perched on a high coastal ridge. This is wild country with windswept beaches great for dog walking or surf fishing. A short drive takes you along the Great Ocean Road or to Apollo Bay. There is a gas log fire to come home to. The cottages are pet friendly with tiled floors and a secure indoor lock up area where pets can stay while owners go out to dinner. The cottages are clean, well appointed and very attractive. Best holiday I’ve had in Victoria, well worth the cost.

As professional dog traininers, we are always on the lookout for places to recommend to our clients, (and to take our own dogs) and Blue Johanna Cottages is such a place. Normally dog friendly accommodation isn’t very human friendly, but Blue Johanna Cottages to us personafied exactly what pet friendly accommodation should be. Tranquil surroundings, supurb accommodation, and an exqusite location, all blended to make our holiday and our dogs holiday very special and one to be remembered. It’s so good, we have already booked to go back!

We had a wonderful few days with our dogs at Blue Johanna Cottages 6-8 Oct. The cottage is warm, cosy and very well appointed. Loved the extra little touches often not thought of in other locations. The dogs have ben very happy expoloring the beautiful surrounds and enjoyed a frollick in the Johanna River mouth down at JohannaBeach. A friendly welcome from Helen and such a lovely break!

Sharon and Helen of Blue Johanna Cottages deserve the best, that’s what their guests get, 2 & 4 legged alike. No attention to detail is overlooked – a home away from home with extras! We loved it!!!

Upon arrival it is obvious the dogs are ‘most welcome’ – bed laid out, a welcoming treat! The location is superb and dog friendly – all requirements catered for, both 2 legged and 4 legged guests. Hard to top for friendliness and relaxation!

It’s the most wonderful, peaceful, beautiful welcoming place to stay! For us humans and our dogs! The cottages are so perfect you don’t want to leave them… but you have to go to the just as beautiful Johanna Beach just down the road. Paradise!

From yummy food and special treats, lovely dishes and decor, clean sheets and towels, comfy beds to beautiful gardens and perfect host. All this for the dogs as well as their owners. Over and above all our expectations of any B&B, let alone a dog friendly one!!

Stayed here with another couple whilst on our Victoria holiday. Very centrally located in a beautiful part of the world. Everything you could want was provided in the quaint, private cottage. Loved it.

We met Helen in 2003 when she gave my wife and me and our two daughters a wonderful welcome. Looking from the cottage over the beautiful green hills to the sea, visiting the Cape Otway lighthouse, a walk through the rainforest at Triplett falls all make this a superb place. The cottages were beautifully presented, the location is fantastic and when our circumstances permit, we’d love to return.

blue johanna cottages are a little haven. the porch allows views of the hills and ocean in the distance. at night a never ending view of the skies and stars. inside a cosy fireplace with a huge comfortable bed. the bathroom includes a spa to while away a few hours. on the property is also a grumpy horse and mischievous dog. heavenly

This is one of those really great finds. I’ll never forget the breathtaking view as you round the corner and catch your first glimpse of this amazing property – majestic tree lined hills roll on and on toward the ocean. Fabulous cottages set in one of the most beautiful parts of this country. I’ve been a regular to Johanna and never tire of exploring its natural beauty! Highly recommended…
