We have been to Boroka Downs on a number of occasion now and find it to be one of the most relaxing places to go, surrounded by peace and tranquillity, with the beauty of nature in all its glory around it. The facilities are first class and you can sit in front of an open fire listening to nature or music of you choice while reading a book or watching the TV or going for walks on the property or the surrounding area, with great dining close at hand in the town of Hall Gap. This is a place that needs to be on every bodies list of places to go to at least once in their life time.
I was whisked away as part of a clandestine birthday weekend away with my fiance. The place, the atmosphere and the friendliness of Ron and Jo made it the best birthday I’ve ever had.
Immaculate accommodation, decked out with luxurious amenities with free-range kangaroos and emus at the back door. It does not get any better.
Absolute magic, everything I’d hoped it would be. freiendly, laid back, relaxed and fun, while still being ridiculously indulgent.
We eloped at Boroka Downs and it was the most beautiful and perfect day we could have asked for. Ron and Jo were so welcoming and kind. Everything was so organised and we had such a restful stay. the accommodation was absolutely gorgeous and we cant wait to go back again. Such a perfect place. Such care and consideration put into each and every persons stay. Thanks so much Ron and Jo. It was perfect.
We arrived exhausted and left after 3 wonderful days rested and full of energy. The best feature for us was the fabulous fire and the absolutely top of the range facilities. During the day we visited local wineries and then settled down for the evening in front of the fire. Everything about Boroka Downs reeked of 5 star accommodation. Our hosts were very gracious and willing to help in any way possible to ensure a perfect stay. We are hoping to return again soon. Best break away we have enjoyed for many years. Set against the backdrop of the rugged Grampian ranges, this is back-to-nature at its best. The large windows allow the luxury of having breakfast in bed as mobs of “grey flyers” brush past the treeline accompanied by the magic of the birds’ dawn chorus.
Heaven on earth
I found Boroka Downs by default when searching for somewhere romantic to stay in the Grampians region. Little did I know that this magical escape was hidden away, with beautiful views, private facilities, and first rate owners. There are many activities you can enjoy in the privacy of your unit eg massage, plus all the great outdoor activities the Grampians has to offer. Boroka Downs will always be a special place for us & we hope to make it a regular place to stay.

Seeking a brief and local escape from our 4 sons, we spent 3 nights at Boroka Downs last November. I would return tomorrow! Ochre coloured mountains tipped brilliant cobalt skies. We returned from bush walks to utter serenity, luxury and peace. Boroka Downs pre-empts your needs, desires and fantasies by providing beautiful, quality surrounds and thoughtful small extras. We needed space: we found heaven!
We went to Baroka Downs for our honey moon. We felt like we were the only ones there. The unit was fabulous. I was exactly what we had hoped for. We can’t wait to celebrate anniversaries there.
Spent 7 weeks in Oz but Boroka was truly the best place to stay. From the wonderful welcome, well stocked fridge, superb decor and comfort in unique surroundings. A magical place we just keep talking about.

With five daughters and full time jobs, a romantic long weekend at Boroka Downs was just what the doctor ordered for our wedding anniversary. We had a fantastic time – better than we ever expected!
Wonderful setting and excellent facilities. A most relaxing 4 days stay supported by marvellous hospitality.
My husband and I got married at Boroka Downs last January and had the most amazing, personal experience. The villa and view were amazing. Every detail of our wedding was taken care of so both my husband and I remained relaxed the whole time. Because the whole event was simplified by Boroka Downs, we even had the chance to take an early morning walk on the trail located on the property before the ceremony. All and all, our wedding and stay at Boroka Downs was the perfect way to start our new lives together.
Our daughter and son-in-law told us about Boroka Downs and now we have been twice and now we fight about who knows Boroka Downs the best!

Boroka Downs is pure romance. Open fire, spa, luxurious touches. And in the mornings there are kangaroo paw prints all over the deck to remind you who your neighbours are!

We just got back from our second trip to Boroka Downs. I really can’t get enough of the wildlife and bushwalking (followed by an evening of luxuriating). Most excellent!
We stayed here when we really needed a chance to relax and get away from every day stressors, and it was absolutely perfect – the way they are designed for privacy is really impressive and the facilities are top class – however, the best thing is watching the sun go down in the evening watching the kangaroos on the front porch.

How’s the serenity? The catch phrase made famous from the hit movie “The Castle” to describe the much beloved “Bonnie Doon”, should be more aptly applied to “Boroka Downs”. The peace, tranquility and fresh air ensured that our honeymoon was perfect! We loved waking up to see the emus grazing the grass in amongst all the kangaroos positioned before a back drop of amazing wilderness and beauty. Within the luxury of our accomodation, we seemed to blend in to environment.

the Grampians is one of the most spectacular places in Victoria. The natural beauty is a must for locals and tourists alike to see. We have enjoyed many wonderful walks in the area and then to top off our holiday we stayed at the most relaxing, luxurious accomodation – Baroka Downs – where we were totally spoilt.

As a family we thoroughly enjoy our precious holdays together. This year we wanted to go to the Grampians and when undertaking our research on a place to stay our attention was drawn to Boroka Downs. The more research we undertook the more we werre facinated and enchanted by the extreme beauty and charm on offer. Our minds were set and we tried to book. To our chagrin many others had beaten us to the time and dates we wanted. So we now have a dream to spend time in one of the special residences…. when we can get in!!!!
We spent out wedding anniversary here and couldn’t have enjoyed it more. Luxurious and everything we had hoped. Loved it and would go back without hesitation.
