A big old house with loads of character, cosy feel, beautiful surrounds and every comfort, including ensuite for each bedroom. The owner makes every effort to ensure your stay is totally enjoyable and nothing is too much trouble, including making sure there is enough crockery and cutlery to cater for a celebratory lunch for 17! A truly lovely experience that leaves you wanting to return.

Bruce & Anthea are marvelleous hosts, the accommodation is five star, and the gardens ten star ! Add to this the wonders of Tarra Valley and you have one of the best accommodations in Australia. Full marks !
Lovely place definitely recommend it to anyone The Albert’s should be very proud of Eilean Donan, and their gorgeous gardens relaxing atmosphere.
Myself and Mrs Arms had an amazing time. Thanks so much!
the highlight of our stay was the amazing hospitality
Oh yeah! The best!
Bruce and Anthea are the best! It’s such a lovely place, I highly recommend.
We love it here, thanks for a beautiful relaxing get away. We’ll be back!
A very tranquil and beautiful place. The birdlife in the garden is extra special – particularly the yellow robins. The garden is a mix of exotic and native flora leading down to and along the babbling Tarra River. The accommodation is very comfortable and tidy. We had a wonderful holiday and can’t wait to return.
Beautiful place, lovely people. I highly recommend.
Beautiful gardens, well-cared for. Tarra River is a delight, and we even saw platypus! House is well-appointed with loads of character, ideal for a couple of families to share. Reasonable tariff, Extremely helpful proprietors. I’l be back for sure!
My all time favourite place to visit. I look forward to returning each time I have to leave this magnificent place! Cant say enough good things about it, a must experience for all!!!!!
Set in beautiful surroundings, and attractively furnished it is a lovely, relaxing place for a break.
Have spent many happy visits at Eilean Donan. As a tranquil garden retreat Eilean Donan is with out peer ! Hosts Anthea & Bruce are most helpful & generous; they thoroughly deserve their Four Star rating.
Tranquility at its best ………..the hardest thing to do is leave.
having spent many holidays at beautiful eilen donan gardens it gets our vote for its restful atmosphere and peacful surrounds to sit at the breakfast table and watch birds in the garden is a treat the house itself is charming also the hosts this stay is a real experience in gracious living
I have had the pleasure of staying with Bruce and Anthea Albert frequently over the years and have found it to be a home away from home, thanks to their generous and gracious hospitality. The Eilean Donan Gardens are a true Australian bush gem and easily entice you to explore its magic. That is, if, you can tear yourself away from the cosy homestead, beautifully furnished with all the country trimmings. Highly recommend.
The Albert’s (Bruce and Anthea) have lovely accomodation that proved very convienient to Wilson’s Prom and the State Forest. The gardens themselves are a sight to see, and with such a warm atmosphere and friendly hosts, I’d recommend the place to anyone!
I have spent a great deal of time at Eilean Donan over the years. It is an amazing and magical place surrounded by beautiful gardens – the perfect place to relax. What is more Bruce and Anthea Albert (hosts) are absolute gems, I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to unwind and get back in touch with nature.
You got our comment already, (see above) we want to repeat, we are happy that we found Eilean Donan Gardens already 2007 in Internet.

We are Swiss travellers and stayed already two times in Eilean Donan Gardens in Tarra Valley near Yarram. It is an incredible garden, a wonderful house (1911) and the people , Bruce and Anthea, are great. If you want to recreate, to see nature, to be in a calm and beautiful surrounding to get your thinkings reorganised – it is the best place in Victoria, more, it is the best place in Australia. We say that after more than one year of travelling through Australia, from NT to Vic., from Gibb River Road to Great Ocean Rd., from Perth to Sydney.
