We spent a wonderful weekend with another family at Gippsland Lakehouse, 3 hours from Melbourne. We fell in love with this place and the amazing outlook over the water, and literally had to drag ourselves away from the sunny deck. It was hard to beat sitting next to the outdoor fireplace with a couple of bottles of red, gazing at the stars – heaven! Highlight: seeing a pod of Dolphins.

We enjoyed a fabulous family weekend away with three generations
    at this
architecturally stunning house on the lakes which has everything to keep
    everybody
happy. While the younger members of the group spent the afternoons out on
    the water in
the boat, we were happy to relax on the sun lounges on the deck watching
    the changing
colours on the water and the passing boats. We ate almost every meal
    outside, and even
though the evenings were a little cooler we had the open fireplace to
    keep us warm.
Highly recommended and we WILL be back!

My family and I had an amazing time at the deck house. It is without a doubt the most luxurious holiday home that I have stayed in. Everthing was accounted for, even the private jetty – which was handy. We took up our boat and the boys went fishing whilst the girls stayed in with the kids. We relaxed by the oudoor OFP in the evenings sipping wine and listening to the amazing wildlife. I would definatley recommend this holiday home to anyone who demands quality. Thank you, we will be back!

I’ve been coming to the The Gippsland Lakes for 30 years. It caters for all ages and fits in nicely with my own need of peace and quiet. When friends and relatives visit there is a great variety of recreational activities to take part in from walking to water skiing, reading to dining out, driving to flying, meeting the locals to participating in their community activities. Finally it is an easy four hour drive from Melbourne on reasonable roads.

on the water in Paynesville this is a great place to base a boating holiday exploring the Gippsland lakes. Bring your boat and park it out front and stay in comfort . The best of both worlds. Some of our family do not like boating so they stay on land and enjoy this great house. The rest of us go out boating all day.

Paynesville is a great place to stay. Boating, fishing, plenty of places to eat looking over the water. Golf close at hand and winter temperatures and sunshine rivalling Mildura in the monthe\s of June and July. Do not bypass it by going straight to Lakes Entrance.A must sojourn.

This state of the art north facing waterfront home is the best ever!! We had a party at our place in Paynesville and some of our guests from Melbourne stayed in this magnificent home. They had a great time and didn’t want to leave.

We hired both houses with 22 people over xmas. We had a brilliant time. The places were spotless and so well set up for adults and children. We loved the access to the water and the jetty’s. The staff were delightful and our booking was managed perfectly. We also really appreciated the welcome pack and felt that it was a very special touch. There is no doubt we will be back and we have recommended the houses to many of our friends.

My family and I had one of the most enjoyable and relaxing holidays we’ve ever had, at The Gippsland Lakehouse. The accommodation is luxurious, warm, incredibly comfortable, and gorgeous to look at. The setting is incomparable: lounging on the fabulous deck overlooking the water; fishing; water-skiing; “donut-ing”(being pulled behind a speed-boat on a large rubber ring); jet-skiing; boating to 90 mile beach, picnicking, swimming, shell collecting…; seafood lunch and wander around sleepy Metung; red wine and chesnuts around the outdoor fireplace at night…. Will we be back? We can’t wait!

I have travelled a lot and stayed in many places both here and overseas. This is, without exception, one of the best places we have ever stayed at. The house itself is absolutely stunning, beautifully appointed. Simple and elegant with everything there. The views over the water are breath-taking and the whole atmosphere brings enormous calm. We only stayed for the weekend, but next time we will stay for much longer.

I would highly recommend this piece of heaven; with is gorgeous aspect, convenient location, idilic views, immediate accessibility to water and its tranquil setting poised within one of Victoria’s best kept treasured locations…. but that would be telling.. and that might ruin our chances of re booking. So, for now..I have nothing to say.

This was an awsome house to stay in. We stayed for a week and had a wonderful time. the house is fitted with the best of everything imaginable.
We stayed 2 familes and yet the house was spacious enough to allow for privacy.
what a great property. Would love to come back in the future and will certainly recommend it to others. this property had it all…
    Luxury, comfort and location ++++++++++

Fabulous accommodation with everything at your finger tips. Stunning views of the waterways and mountains.
Relaxing Northerly aspect looking over the water from the deck.
Well landscaped, fits the environment really well. The large deck just above the canal is really a bonus. You can sit there and watch the kids canoeing and swimming, or just have a drink, and watch the Dolphins swim past occasionally.
Nice rural aspect to the rear with ponies to watch.

Our first impressions of this beautiful house was WOW – and that is before we opened the door. This was the perfect getaway for our families. The house was perfect. The views, the modern finishes, the luxurious bedrooms, the fireplace outside, the spacious living area. Every thing was thought of to the very last detail. We have been to some beautiful places, but the Lakehouse was the most relaxing and beautiful self contained home we have stayed in. How blissful to have breakfast on the balcony overlooking the water, then to hop on to your boat and sail away for the day. Paynesville is a gorgeous place to stay.

One of the features I enjoyed most about the Gippsland Lakehouse was sitting on the balcony in the quiet of the morning, enjoying the surrounding birdlife. The accomodation-where do I start; private jetty, outdoor fireplace, overlooking wide canal and bushland, all areas of the lakehouse have such a great feel about it. Open living area fantastic with the warmth to make it feel homely—- a great place to stay with family and friends. Would highly recommend

absolutely LOVED staying here… one of the most well-planned, organised, deluxe townhouses my family and I have had the pleasure of staying in. Every last detail was considered… from the bed linen to the common area and separate outdoor living areas. Sublime.
We brought our boat down for the weekend and had one of the most memorable holidays to date. There is nothing quite like waking up in the morning, fishing off the private jetty and watching the black swans dancing. In a word – MAGIC. Well done.

5 star location/5 star accommodation – Spent 4 magnificent days earlier this year with family and friends. Endless activities on and around the lakes. This property is set up to accommadate 10 people in luxury. There’s a massive plasma tv in the main entertainment area set up with games and pay tv. the top two levels have balconies that overlook the lakes and mountians so you can relax after a hard day on the lakes. Nothing has been left out on this property, there’s even an undercover area to hang out and dry your water activity gear. Loved the area so much that I have already booked my next stay.

Booked this accommodation for out of town staff. They loved the location and the ability to sit around in the beautifyl setting to relax after a hard day at the office. Better than booking 10 hotel rooms and dare I say it cheaper as well. Everyone’s a winner!

This property made an ideal relaxed break for us and our friends with all of the children.Nearby Paynesille is so handy with all of its shops and restaurants. The amenities were nothing less than we have in our own home – and that huge TV!

Fabulous. We spent 2 weeks on a wine excursion. 31 wineries, very busy. Found the Gippsland Lakehouse – and totally detoxed. “Top of the line” everything. We look forward to coming back soon. It’s a long way from the States but well worth the trip.

If you want relaxed elegance, with utter tranquility – this is for you. We so enjoyed watching the sun go down over the water from the beautiful deck, warmed by the outdoor fireplace. (our visit was in the Autumn). So tastefully decorated, and as a foodie- appreciated the well equipped kitchen. Loved the works of art adorning the walls.
