Beautiful spot in the Dandenongs, surrounded by nature, so quiet and didn’t see anyone the whole time except for checking in and out. The service was excellent and the breakfast delicious. Everything was so luxurious and and the rooms had everything needed for a romantic getaway. We will deffinately be back.

We spent our Anniversary on a romantic weekend at Linden Gardens and it was everything we were hoping for and more. A peaceful hideaway amongst lush gardens yet still close enough to all the delights of the Dandenong Ranges. All the extra details and careful consideration to cater for everything you could need or wish for made it so memorable. We stayed in the tower and it was amazing waking up to see the tree tops outside our window poking out from the mist…

We had such a perfect 2 night stay. We needed a romantic getaway and that is what we got. The hospitality was second to none, the food sensational (we had the platter and the breakfasts) and we had a massage organised to come to the cottage in the afternoon for an endulgent 90 mins. We will definitely be back!!
My fiance took me away to Linden Gardens for my 30th birthday. It was such a beautiful relaxing place to stay. We felt so pampered, it is such a gorgeous place and the surroundings are absolutely beautiful. Definately will be going back. PS: Make sure you get the massages!

From the moment we stepped through the door, it was as if we had left the city behind us. The bedroom on the third floor left us lazing in the tree canopies, surrounded by an array of gorgeous native birds and stunning gardens. The second floor living area had a certain ambience that made in hard to get off couch, oh and dont even get me started on the ground floor bathroom, the spa, the view, the fire, mmmm I thought I died and gone to heaven! A first rate experience…..

Linden gardens honestly was the best place my partner and i have ever stayed at. The most AMAZING cottages. So warm, inviting, so surprisingly up-to-date with their entertainment systems and services. I wish i could describe how unbelievably yummy the breakfast was and the fact that the food, even down to the champagne and chocolate also the products such as the shampoo, conditioner, even the soap, is locally produced and brought. So fantastic that such a lavish place supports its local community. The people were so refreshingly lovely and helpful, not only at Linden Gardens, but in the surrounding communities. The welcoming and warm atmosphere and spectacular views, along with above standard services make Linden Gardens a place that i will never forget, and forever recommend.

Sitting in front of a cosy open fireplace with a glass of wine, watching the many dvd movies that were readily available and indulging in a soothing and dreamy spa, followed by snuggling up into a warm and comfy bed; then wake to a lovely homecooked breakfast to prepare for another day in the beautiful surroundings of the Dandenongs – thanks again for the revitalising atmosphere.

Linden Gardens was wonderful, we spend 2 nights on our honeymoon and very relaxing and romantic, excellant service.
All I can say is, I remember the visit well although it was now more than 3 years ago. Enjoyed a wonderfully generous, freshly made breakfast, the amazing decor of the room in all its warmth and glory during a cold winter. I can tell you now there is nothing like waking up amongst the tree tops to a glorious winter’s day with a fresh warm robe to dress in and plenty of dvds to choose from to laze in front of the tv watching

The in-room massage was professional & soothing…. the spa looking into the forest a blessing… the bed heavenly. I cannot recommend Linden Gardens highly enough.

This is my favourite little place to get away during winter. Linden Gardens is cosy and warm and very romantic. Close to towns but far enough to have a quiet relaxing time.
We like it so much that we have stayed with Alex and Lisa on three (3) separate occasions. What more do you need to say?

Stayed in the Sanctuary Tower. Absolutely loved the spa bath and bathroom was so spacious, a great place to escape. Also the mini bar was not overpriced like most accommodation. Beautiful gardens to walk around in. Very comfortable bed and large range of dvds to watch. Overall they have thought of everything.
After a tough decision between the very unique and equally gorgeous suites, we finally settled on the Garden suite… and it was everything that I’d hoped for it to be. The atmosphere was set right from the moment we set foot in the suite, the soft chilled out music, the fire, the bubbly and the luxurious spa. There was a great selection of DVD’s and the decor was so warm and inviting with lots of purple and red hues in the oriental-inspired furniture. After a wonderful night of indulgence and zen, we climbed into the sumptuous bed and finished our stay the next morning with a delicious cooked breakfast. A thoroughly relaxing and blissful experience, with every little detail taken care of.

My mum, brother and I had the most relaxing and cosy at in the Gardens Cottage! We felt like we were millions of miles away from the city in a tranquil oasis!!
My daugher and I had a fantastic break in the garden retreat, sharing the fantastic King-size bed (which we both wanted to take home), getting a great in-house massage, watching heaps of DVDs and generally chilling out. We thoroughly enjoyed the accommodation and service. I am recommending it to friends and hubby and hope to be back again some time soon.

My husband chose Linden Gardens for our anniversary as a surprise and I really was suprised – at his taste that is. I wish we had known about Linden Gardens for our wedding night as it really is special (and should be a lot more expensive for what it is by the way!). Apart from being absolutely gorgeous which you can see from the pictures anyway, it is the things that you can’t see in the pictures that make all the difference. The wonderful breakfast that is brought to your cottage, all the little extras that make your stay complete. It was a real experience and I can’t wait to go back. How about next anniversay Mark?
We have stayed at a number of B ‘n’ B’s throughout the world and I can safely say that Linden Gardens is the best. The setting is amazing the facilities are top class and the little extras such as the heaters and music going on arrival really add to the stay. The meals and the way they magically arrive are something will are still telling friends about.

Linden Gardens was the absolute perfect place for us to stay to celebrate our anniversary. We were only there for one night but could have stayed forever. Each room of the cottage had a sense of calm and romance – the soft lighting, the swayful music, the glissening fire place – it was pure heaven. You can definitely see the care and thought that Lisa and Alex has put into designing their cottages, right down to the complimentary hand made chocolates that you find scattered about the cottage. It was a real treat – literally. Breakfast was just delicious. The variety in the menu is excellent. Then to have it cooked for you HOWEVER you want, and delivered personally to your room WHENEVER you want really just sets Linden Gardens aside from the rest. We WILL be returning, even if it’s only for another single nights stay – it will be completely and totally worth it! Thank you again.

After 2 spas, fluffy bed robes, 1 King sized sleep, very cosy heating, delicious chocolates, 3 movies, Indian Food from the shop up the road, a sensational breakfast, fantastic surroundings and lots more extras, we wanted MORE!! My partner Jeff and i went to Linden Gardens for two reasons the first one to recindle our romance and secondly my brother had been diagnosed with terminal cancer and i needed toget away to come to terms with this. It was a beautiful tranquil place with warm and cosy cottages. We enjoyed our stay emensly and it did take my mind of things. My husband booked Linden Gardens up for my 40th as a surprise and knowing him I thought it would be a surprise but lo and behold he did wonders as Linden Gardens truly is wonderful. I have 4 children and Linden Gardens was so peaceful and beautiful that I would recommend it to anyone.

Linden gardens is such a peaceful, tranquil place to stay set amongst the bush it provided a much needed escape from everyday life. It was nice to spend some quality time with my fiance, and what better way to do that than spending it in a luxurious setting with the gas log fire a rejueventating spa and some bubbly. And to top it off, the next moring came our breakfast feast right to our door. Every detail made our getaway a 5 star experience.

We couldn’t have chosen a more perfect place to stay on our wedding night. Everything was ready and welcoming for us when we arrived very late and tired including our luggage, warm fire and best of all a personalized sign welcoming us in our new married name. Breakfast was delicious and served to the room and a late checkout was no problem to organize so we could enjoy all the cottage offered. The spa is a must and so is relaxing on the big comfy couch. We have even made an excuse to visit again already when some friends were getting married in the area. Linden cottage is our favorite and we will definitely be back again but for longer next time. Recommend to anyone wanting an escape.

If you haven’t already stayed at Linden Gardens, you should! We are from London and came across Linden Gardens after searching the internet. What a find! Beautiful, romantic and peaceful. And so well appointed. Loved the bath particularly. The customer service was exceptional too. Nothing was too much trouble – we had a winery tour booked and our hosts drove us to meet our bus and picked us up afterwards. Very warm and friendly and we will be back at some point.

we went there for our 20th wedding anniversery , it had to be the nicest place we have stayed with the best breakfast. my husband wanted to go back for his birthday but we couldnt afford it and didnt have the time at the moment.
Alex was there to greet us and did not disappoint with his sensational hospitality and warm welcome. Staying at Linden Gardens was truely a relaxing and rejuvinating time. Spending the night a truely luxurious cottage, with all we could want to ensure out time was not disturbed followed by the picturesque surroundings of my home town the Dandenong Ranges. My partner and I have never and will never forget our Linden Gardens experience and will one day return.
Extremely serene destination and accomodation.. Romantic decor, sparkling wine, handmade chocolate, mouth watering fresh produce platters, massages and facials – what more could a loved-up couple want??
A delightful destination for an escape that doesn’t take too long to get to. Sitting down for a delicious breakfast with the tranquil surroundings was a highlight of the stay as well as relaxing in the spa with the beautiful views and some champagne. I can definitely see myself venturing out to Linden Gardens for another trip. My girlfriend and I were both taken away to another world while we were there and came home rejuvenated.

I arranged everything over the internet so it was a complete surprise for my fiance when we got there and the room was set up and there were flowers and a massage ready for us.
They made it so easy! Anything I asked they did and even gave me some ideas.
We are hoping to get back at some point soon when things calm down with work ect.
We highly recommend Linden Gardens to anyone who wants somewhere to relax and somewhere you will be looked after and that is true indulgence!

Our stay was too short! It was a beautiful place that had every detail down to a fine art. We were lucky enough to wake up to snow falling on the snowgum forest on our last morning. It was a magical stay and one which I want to repeat!
My husband and I spent our 23rd and 24th wedding anniversaries at Linden Gardens Rainforest Retreat and absolutely enjoyed the luxury and peacefulness of the retreat as well as the beautiful surroundings of the forest. We returned to our family of four children thoroughly refreshed and relaxed,
Our honeymoon was a luxurious 3 night stay at the amazing Linden Gardens Sanctuary Tower. The whole atmosphere blew us away as soon as we arrived, it was so private that made us feel so comfortable and pampered.
The attention to detail was superb; from the well chosen warm colour palette, to the cosy bed, the spa and even the breakfast was simply amazing.
The warm welcomes we got from Lisa and Alex topped off our honeymoon experience. Thanks a lot and we’ll definitely see you guys soon!

What a magical place! After a very long year and several very stressful episodes, both my partner and I were feeling overstretched, too busy, and had not spent a lot of quality time together. As both of our birthdays drew near (May 10 and May 12) we decided to have a getaway – to take some time off during the week when things would be quiet – and spent our birthdays in the Sanctuary tower.
Our trip started off wonderfully with the weather cooperating – it was a beautiful autumn day! The sun was shining all through the glorious red maples, leaves were falling – all in all it was a beautiful and leisurely drive (where upon we stopped at many quaint gardens, hot chocolate shops, and beautiful Olinda). After our wonderful, warm reception – we had wonderful masssages, a beautiful dinner delivered, and thoroughly relaxed with a warm fire to ward off the chilly fall evening.
During our entire stay we unwound, enjoyed the good food, quiet walks, and toured the local area. We both felt very refreshed, reconnected, and have thought often of our getaway. We will become regular customers and have also bought gift certificates for busy family members to remind them to take a moment and relax and rejuvinate.
I whole heartedly wish Linden Gardens luck and know that many people will be writing to confirm their own special moments spent at this beautiful retreat.

We had a wonderful stay in the tri level suite. Having a wonderful breakfast delivered to our room each morning was a real treat and having the dinner reservations made for us at recommended local restaurants was a bonus. The grounds were beautiful and we would definitely stay there again the next time we visit the area.
I’ll never forget Linden Gardens. My girlfriend and I planned a romantic weekend there not long ago.
Little did we know, but each of us were planning on proposing to one another. We had both independently bought rings and we’re secretly running through the words ‘will you marry me’ each. As the weekend approached, I couldn’t wait, and I popped the question early! Which of course in turn prompted Jo’s proposal.
The entire weekend that ensued at Linden Gardens was a dreamy experience. Full of laughter and love, we indulged on local wines, cheese and chocolate upon the sofa, took beautiful walks through the surrounding forests and blissfully lost ourselves in each other.
Linden Gardens was a wonderful and beautiful place. Absolutely gorgeous. We stayed for 3 nights. Wishing for more. The service and hospitality was friendly and very welcoming. We didn’t have to lift a finger to do anything. Even bookings were arranged for us. I will definately be going back. Thanks for making our 3 nights stay so relaxing and wonderful. I will be recommending Linden Gardens to all of my friends and family.
Linden Gardens was the perfect getaway. It was so private and cosy. The room had everything that you might need making you never want (or need) to leave your room. It was warm and welcoming and the staff were amazing and helpful. Why would you want to leave a room with a fireplace, wine, all the dvd’s you could watch, boardgames to play, and chocolate scattered around for your enjoyment. It was the best stay me and my partner had in a long time and was exactly what we needed.

Lindan Gardens was by far the most riveting experience being in a rainforest and in such a cosy and warm cottage accomodation. Decor was fantastic, really gave the comforting feel to the place as well as myself and my partner, the gourmet breakfast was the best breakfast we have had compared to any other accomodation.
I know Linden Gardens is the best accomodation for a summer or winters night because I just simply did not want to leave home when our time came to check out, and I will be sure to recommend Linden Gardens to anyone and have to many people already.

This is my favorite place as it is the perfect weekend escape. Three days here and you feel like you have been away for a week.
We were able to wake up to beautiful birds right outside your window, have a spa in the privacy of our own place and then relax by having a beautiful meal delivered to our room.
It is luxurious and cozy, a hard combination to achieve, something which Linden Garden has excelled at.
This retreat was true a treat for us both. The accomadation was great and very well appointed.
Linden Gardens was an absolutely wonderful place to stay. It was all the little extras that made the perfect a romantic getaway. From the collection of board games, to DVDs, the view of the rainforest when waking up in the morning and even the delicious breakfast! The bubble bath smelt amazing and I even bought some as I left. The staff were very helpful suggesting some nice places to have dinner. We are planning to go back in November.

I cannot begin to tell you what a beautiful cosy experience I had for my 30th birthday. If you want a place to get away from the stresses of life, with the cosy stunning rooms and views in your own little cottage for a night or two then this is the one to go to. The sounds of the forest at night, the ambience of the candles, dimmed lights, with your own cosy couch, TV, DVD with a selection of movies, Books, Games for kids, adults alike and a well equipped kitchen area with Kettle, fridge and tasty nibbles, and catering if you need something last minute!
The comforts of being indoors and the beauty of the rooms makes for the best time away to refresh and recharge. I will be sure to return to Linden Gardens. My favourite room the red room!

Our stay in Linden Gardens was one of the best weekends ever. Everything was just perfect: The suite, the service, the surroundings.
I stayed at Linden Gardens with my partner after we hadn’t seen each other for 4 months. We stayed in the Luxury Tower Apartment, and it was heaven. The food was amazing, and interior design was beautiful, the spa room was the best and so perfect. Music was set up in every room. We watched the rain from the top floor, lounge room and fell asleep on the big furry rug! Our weekend was so special and I will never forget the experiences that we both shared. I want to thank the staff, who provided us with such a positive weekend.
The venue was terrific, service and food great, pity the weather didn’t match the rest of the couple of days rest.

Beautiful place to stay. Staff very unobtursive – to the point that whjen we went for a walk they thought we were still there (as the car was still parked) and wouldn’t go into the apartment to clean etc.

We spent the first night of our honeymoon at Linden Gardens, and what a treat it was! The decor was stunning, our hosts warm and friendly, the compilmentary toiletries beautiful and well considered and the chocolate samplers provided were absolutely delectable.
Looking out over the leafy boughs of the forest canopy as we soaked in the hot tub was soothing for the body and soul. The envigorating couple massage that we shared and the scrumptious cooked breakfast was wonderful. All these elements combined to give a sense of being wrapped in a cocoon of peace and pampering, a lovely start to our married life. We have recommended Linden Gardens to many friends and will continue to do so, and to return in future.

We stayed in Linden Cottage on our wedding night and it was like an oasis at the end of a long and tiring day. The ambience of the cottage was so warm and welcoming and you truly felt hidden away amongst the bush. Breakfast in the morning was fantastic as well. We felt completly spoilt on our stay.
It was a lovely place, the service was outstanding and look forward to going again. They were able to assist me when I could not make my original booking date, they held my deposit and honoured it even 2 months later. Would recommend them to anyone.

Linden Gardens is a relaxing retreat close to the city but it feels like it is a world away. You wake up amongst the rainforest gardens with the sights and sounds of nature all around. Organised this stay for our wedding anniversary. First time I have done this as usully done by my wife. She was absolutely amazed with this place as was I. One of the most romantic places we have ever stayed and our hosts were excellent. My wife refers to this place as heaven in the Dandenongs
Very private, modern and comfortable well supplied cottages in the Mt Dandenong ranges. Beautiful green gardens, relaxing atmosphere and the chance to absolutely let go of the outside world. 5 stars.

Fantastic place, tastefully decorated rooms with all the important things like spa, log fires and king size beds. Breakfast was great, cooked and brought to the room for you which I haven’t had anywhere else. All the little details like bubble bath, bath oils and bath salts and loofahs to use and keep and the fluffiest bathrobes (we actually bought two from reception on the way out!). Can’t recommend Linden Gardens enough. It was recommended to us by friends and now a lots of our friends have also been.
Absolutely loved our stay there. The warm welcome, attention to details, service, atmosphere and quality were second to none. We’ll be back to stay very soon!
We loved it here. The attention to detail, all the thoughtful extras, and amazingly luxurious Bath Robes! We’ve stayed in two suites so far and will be back to stay in the third. My girlfriend is a designer so she totally loves all the interior design details and themes in each of the cottages. Everytime we go anywhere else it’sjust never as good! This place is the best.
If I could afford to come to Linden every year for my holidays, I surely would! Fabulously relaxing and beautiful place to go. I would happily recommend it to anyone!
Sensational ! Breakfast nothing short of spectaculer, perfect service. Every added luxury you can think of. Perfect peace, perfect surroundings. You simply dont get better than this…we are onto our third stay….and im very very fussy, so that says it all!
