Staying at the Forest Resort was a completely indulgent experience. The modern but elegant decor melded with the beautiful location to create a feeling of truly Australian luxury accomodation. A delectable menu in both the formal restaurant and the the more relaxed bar atmosphere was an added delight and to discover an amazing buffet breakfast to idle over the following morning made the weekend complete. While every detail of the surrounds and the food was of the highest quality, the factor that made the stay complete and memorable was the attitude of the staff – I was impressed beyond measure with their polite friendliness – they were the cherry on top!
Great view of Golf course from balcony. Great Pool and spa. Lots of History about the mines dug by chinese. Kids were fasinated seeing original mines. The resort offered a free four wheel drive tour of the golf course which was informative.

This hotel was fantastic. Stayed last year while attending a wedding and was so impresed we decided to go back this year. The views from the rooms and staff make this place something special. The beds are so comfy aswell. I highly recommend this place for a romantic getaway! Has its own day spa but so close to Daylesford and Hepburn Springs also. The restaurant was fantastic with lots to choose from. We had a big room with a fire place which was just perfect!
Its peaceful ,set in lush bush surounding, for the whole family, not far out of Ballarat Vic, for a range of budgets, day spa on site.

Scenic country surrounds. Very quiet and peaceful but very close to Daylesford and all its Spa attractions. Also very close to Ballarat and it’s historic attractions. Very modern facilities overlooking beautiful golf course. A really great place to stay!

Beautiful views, amazing beds and good service. Fantastic place for a Wedding. My daughter’s reception was held there in January was incredible. Guests came from far and wide and thoroughly enjoyed their stay. Several commented on the beautiful beds and their wonderful night’s sleep. Others were rapt that they could enjoy a game of golf.
A perfect place to relax and escape the hussle and bussle of city life!
The location is great, nice and peaceful, wonderful views throughout the resort. Highly recommend for families or a romantic getaway. We have stayed at the resort 5 times now since opening in March 2007. Prices are very affordable. By far the best place we have stayed at throughout Australia.

Novotel Forest Resort is located in Creswick, between Ballarat and Daylesford. It is an Accor 4.5 star property with 144 rooms. An easy 1.5 hour drive from Melbourne “a city hotel – in the country.” The staff are great and it is a new hotel so rooms and furnishings are wonderful, especially the beds. Great views over the onsite golf course and beyond to the state forest. Fantastic for families with outdoor and indoor play areas and pool.

The resort is set in the forest with natural bush roundings. It has excellent rooms with a 18 Tony Cashmore designed championship golf course on site. A real challenge to play.

Great golf course and the resort is something quite new for this area. They’ve thought of everything – attention to detail on decor and facilities second to none!
Close to Ballarat and the interesting towns that make up our gold mining heritage.
Wet weather while we were there, so were a bit restricted but everything was lovely and new, peaceful and quiet.
Great place, well positioned to explore the surrounding area.

I have stayed here twice and both times it was a wonderful experience.
There are bushwalks and the golf course but also a good base to visit Ballarat, Castlemaine, and Bendigo.
A good weekend break from the hubub of the Melbourne city life.

A group from my company spent three days at a conference at the Novotel Forest Resort in Creswick late last year. The facilities were excellent, staff wonderful, and most of all the my early morning walk was an absolute joy with the golf course and nature at its best. Definitely recommend it not only for business, but pleasure as well and plan to take my whole family there in the coming months.

Great new venue a short drive from Melbourne. Close to Daylesfords Spa Country. Ideal for conferences. Only issue I found was that it was not very child friendly. They had one very small room with a couple of toys that kept my 2 year old amused for 10 minutes. This may come with time as they’ve only been open less than a year.

This is a fantastic resort in a stunning location, close to Creswick and in the heart of spa country. We particularly enjoy the swimming pool with the kids paddling area and the comfortable deck chairs for mums and dads, and also the excellent gym next to the pool for when we feel energetic! The spa is also a god-send when visiting during winter. However, the golf course is my particular favourite – it’s not long, but it has plenty of challenges punctuated by some stunning views of the surrounding countryside, especially as the course rises up around holes 4, 5 and 6. My favourite holes (because of the challenges they pose) are holes 3 and 13 – both difficult par 3s over water. Am yet to par either of them, but look forward to trying again soon! We go back to visit at least twice a year – love it.
Great family hotel with outdoor pool which is perfect on a cold evening…jump from the pool straight into the spa (nice). Also the historic township of Creswick is only a 30 min walk along a bush trail…..we loved it!
This was heaven. The rooms were totally different from anywhere else and the bar and restaurant were great. Even though we did not play golf the surrounds were just beautiful and peaceful
