Kath is the hostess with the mostest. A charming old historic building with beautiful clean rooms, open fireplace plus other heating to help make your stay warm and comfortable. I would stay here anytime for the peace and tranquility that the whole township has to offer, Fabulous.

Located in Walhalla, a sleepy town of only 30 residents, Windsor House is the perfect place to stay. It is steeped in history and is an authentically decorated former boarding house of the goldrush era. The approach is picturesque over a little brook encompassed by towering treed hillsides.
Apart from the provision of a fabulous breakfast, traditional and eminently comfortable bedroom suites, an open fire and ambience aplenty, Windsor House is the perfect spot to stay.
The local area provides many places of interest; an historic cemetery which is populated by diggers and their families from those who worked the gold mine, a functioning, historic railway which runs daily, a quaint olde worlde lolly shoppe and an active historic society and museum give plenty of scope for meandering around the town before retiring to the comfort of a beautifully appointed parlour.
Mine host, Christine, ensures that all her guests enjoy their stay and look forward to returning.

The weekend we stayed there we had the whole place to ourselves and it offered peace and tranquility. I loved the open fireplace and the old world charm. Walhalla is a must see town, so special and I would definately go there again.

Wonderful charming property with equally charming owners.

Love the advertising line: “Windsor house is definately NOT haunted. We haven’t seen a ghost for weeks” *giggle*

Old world charm, decor and ambience combine to provide the perfect setting for a cosy weekend away. A typical farmhouse style cooked breakfast sets you up for the day if you intend to do more than a little walking around the sites of Walhalla. Not untypical of a house of this age, is may come with its own resident paranormal visitors.
